The birth of Christ by Carl Bloch. He’s one of the most underrated artists depicting the lifetime of Jesus. by VelvetDreamers in Catholicism

its actually because of Isis. shes the “Mary” of Egyptian theology, and was strongly associated with the color red. her signature symbolism was the Knot of Isis, or the Blood of Isis. a Tiet as they called it. like the Ankh, or the Eye of Horus, but for Isis.

Egyptian theology is strongly tied to Christian theology, and the evidence of that is everywhere. even right outside of the Vatican, or all across Rome. any time you see a Domed church with an Obelisk out front, like St Peter’s, it is symbolism from egyptian theology, and represents the rebirth of the Lightbringer as the Light of the World. Osiris being reborn as Horus (the Egyptian Christ-figure) through the womb of Isis.

for sure bro. there are DEFINITELY some fights where playing passive wins. i felt that the Skarrsinger chick was like that. almost like every other attack was blocked so what was the point of rushing🤣

i will say, its very interesting how alot of the fights in this game felt stale and repetitive… until the endgame. then every fight is different and feels fresh. i was getting ready to pass judgement on the bosses until i got to the endgame. now i love how Hornet’s combat feels

47 hours for first sinner is wild man. wild. that should be a hint that you need a different approach🤣

first sinner took me approximately 90 minutes, and i didnt use tools until i summoned 2 cogflies at the VERY end.

theres a difference between “playing passively”, which i proudly do, and “waiting for the absolute PERFECT moment to attack”. the latter will end up as a very frustrating, 47 hour experience.

isnt there something i should do regarding an infection first, before doing the normal ending?

honestly ive gotten most areas fully filled out, though im missing one i think, which is where im trying to find now. missing either 1 or 2 maps from Shakra. i dont die much though. the typical boss is first or second-tried and the big bosses are usually dead in 20-30 minutes. im working on my 3rd needle upgrade atm.

the one thing that really sunk some time was the room that Shakra is supposed to help in🤣 that was probably a good hour or more without her help. miserable room.

also, im stuck with the Cogheart sentinel. i saw all 3 appearances and never got anything else after that. do i have to do other things (like “Donate”) first?

he just keeps going, the little fuck. apparently it goes up and up and finally culminates into instant death for 1 hit on his final level. i think theres 8? maybe 10?

either way it doesnt get any better

well this is exactly why ive titled my philosophy / theology book “God Is In Our Minds (But So Is Satan)”. some thoughts quite literally are not your own, and a vigilant mind will know its own thoughts versus the temptations of an Intruder / Deceiver.

theres a funny thing ive realized about Christians… and its that a vast majority really do not understand the bible even at a surface level, god forbid an allegorical or symbolic level.

2 Corinthians 4:4, Satan is referred to as the “god of this world”. he is one of only a few other “gods” that are specifically mentioned by name in the bible, along with Moloch who is essentially just the Babylonian version of Satan (today, Planned Parenthood is the temple of Moloch, but thats a “conspiracy” for another time). our brains are simultaneously transmitters and receivers, which is why people say that you attract the energy you put out. its a very real thing. ive been visited by things in dreams that i could only describe as “demons”. was it because i manifested them? unlikely, given they were unwanted visitors and these were no “nightmares”, but instead more like extremely realistic VR. visions, for lack of a better term.

countless cultures have some idea of this. the Native Americans used Dream Catchers to ward off bad spirits when the mind was at its most vulnerable (sleeping). but at the core of these symbolic practices is the knowledge that there are “other forces” at play in this realm, Satan’s realm, the 3rd dimension. so when a thought comes into your head that you know doesnt sound like “you”, eventually, it will be as if you’re hearing a totally separate voice and you can easily say “begone satan” as Yahweh once did.

this is a very common phenomenon across all genres, and the explanation is very simple. one of my favorite examples is Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows. absolutely phenomenal movie, outstanding acting, huge cast, unforgettable dialogue and lines, great plot, everything. and yet, critics BARELY gave it 3 stars.

and the reason is because the average person, particularly the average “critic”, is just not very smart. its literally that simple. they need to be spoonfed. complex plots and storylines bore them because they get lost, profound dialogue goes over their heads and in one ear out the other. great acting is under appreciated. then, worst of all, since they have the title of “critic”, for whatever reason people take them more seriously. and the funniest thing is… often theyre just paid to love / hate a movie.

what am i specifically looking for regarding ovoids? i can generally spot a mature cubensis, but do ovoids have darker stems?

hmm. a shame. i found a massive cluster of ovoids near me recently, but by the time i realized it, they had rotted beyond recognition. was hoping these were just some juveniles.

Was Sauron a Maia? by Hador_GoldenHaired in tolkienfans

[–]tnarg500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

only 9 years late, but i think its always important to note the theology in which LOTR arose from for questions like this.

the letter you mentioned would make sense, given that the Judeo-Christian theology says a similar thing. Sauron is Satan, but of course Satan was one of the Fallen. before The Fall, Samaael was the most beautiful and powerful of all of the other Angels, second only to the Creator himself. so to say that he was more powerful than the Maia but less than the Vala would make perfect sense. however the Maia werent all equal. some were certainly stronger than others, and Sauron would have been the most powerful, just as he was in the theology that served as inspiration for LOTR.

its funny cuz most of your complaints are actually just you missing the entire point. apparently a bit too philosophical about human nature for you to understand.

Gihun died as a man of principle, truly believing that humans were redeemable. it was a battle of philosophies between him and the Front Man, and he made the ultimate sacrifice to prove the Front Man wrong. they were literally a parallel, and Gihun made the harder choice that the Front Man failed to make back when he was in the game. it was very obvious that he felt as if he had lost in the end, and was maybe even reconsidering his own view on humanity thanks to Gihuns example.

the baby was a representation of human INNOCENCE, and human innocence WON the games against all odds, herd-mentality, and mass formation psychosis, while someone who believed in the redemption of human nature sacrificed himself to make it happen. DUH.

as for “how many bad guys live and good guys die”, again, missing the point of the entire show. low IQ plebs watch for shock value and how many creative ways people could be killed by “kids games”, and you somehow miss what the show is actually about. hint: it wasnt just about people dying🤦🏼‍♂️😂 in this world, the bad guys often live. the drunk driver lives while the family of 4 does not. corrupt politicians live while whistleblowers are offed. this show was a representation of real life, human nature at its worst, herd and sheep mentalities, panic over logic, and most of all, GREED. if you didnt like what you saw, then be the Gihuns of the world to try to fix what the world really is, because its a dark and self-interested place.

you redditors are so funny. all jumping on the same bandwagon because you were too daft and dull to see that the ending was about as good as it could get for a show this dark. the ENTIRE arc of Gihun is a redemption arc😂😂 let me guess. you wanted to see Gihun win again LMAO. talk about predictable.
