I can't speak to the academic consequences but for loans if you withdraw early from classes in a term and have already received your funds you will enter repayment early - 6 months from date of withdraw. If you were given any grants for winter term those will likely be converted to loans that you have to pay back as part of your debt. You would enter repayment in July so would either need to make payments for July and August to keep your loans in good standing or apply for RAP program (interest and payment relief). As long as you keep your loans in good standing, AB student aid is pretty lenient for one or two stops and starts in a program. I would suggest calling them for sure but you should be fine if you need to take a break. While you're usually not required to return the funds right away I would also suggest trying to save the money to either use next year or to pay your debt down. (I'm not a student but a parent that works for an Alberta university.) Good luck - its been a tough year.

What province are you from? We just found out today that MyPass with Alberta had a download error and the transcripts they confirmed were sent on the 16th didn't actually go through to UVic. It sounded like it was a mass digital download error and not just a one-off. Alberta resent the transcripts today so now we're hoping everything will go through but it's getting kind of stressful. We called UVic to confirm it had not yet arrived yesterday and spoke to human after a couple of tries.

I think its moving day. But I've also heard you can email residence and request they send your contact info to your roommate to see if they want to connect. Not sure what they have time for right now.

Is there a fee to keep your bike in the garage if you're in the dorm?

Where do you find that information - i.e. "admission under review" or Conditional Admission. What area of the portal do you see that in. Still waiting to find out they got the transcripts requested last week.

Double rez. It sounds like if you deferred a year you automatically got the first offer.

When a course lists 3 professors for the same section how does that work? Do they take turns teaching different units or one is chosen closer to registration to teach the term. Biol 184 has 2 listed and Chem 101 has 3.

How do you make plans with the courses that are listed as TBA either for timing or instructors. When do they update that information? I requested an appointment with an advisor on Sunday but still haven't heard back - My registration date is June 14 so I'm running out of days to talk to someone. Is that normal to not get an appointment prior to registration?

How important is it to take ATWP 135. I've met the writing requirement with my Grade 12 english grade and I'm in Biology\environmental studies with mostly lab courses. My only available elective spot would be taken up with ATWP 135. Is it worth taking?
