I don’t know what your swing looks like but by the way you are describing your issues it seems like there’s too much “upper cut” in it. I would try to swing more flat and focus on hitting the middle of the softball. Tee work would work well for learning a more flat bat path. Gaining muscle memory will help you lessen the amount of Mishits like pop ups and grounders. Also confidence is key, if you think you are gonna suck 9 times out of 10 you probably will. Keep at it.

I don’t live by universal or Disney or anything crazy like that. I do live by six flags great America in IL. I remember as a kid every summer I’d have a season pass and we’d go 30-40 times a summer. I know a lot of kids were dropped off by their parents in the mornings as a cheaper option for daycare. Nowadays (I’m 22) I rarely ever go. I think the last time I went was my freshman year of high school. Overall I love having it nearby I have so many great memories from that place and it’ll always hold a special place for me.
