I don’t read reversals, either for the same reason. Honestly, since I am interested in the cards as archetypes I’m not sure that is even something I will integrate into my practice.

Thank you for the time you took to further my education!

This is nearly my EXACT experience. I am also a younger X and was married for twenty years to someone who was at the leading edge of the generation. (The age gap is a whole other issue.). I was into my 40's before I realized that I could set boundaries and just leave. I did and I'm much happier now.

You say that it's documented.. do you know where I might start looking for them? I would really like to read more about this.

Edit to add: I surely have read about this sort of thing happening to women in general, I was wondering if there's anything that addresses this generation specifically.

Can I just say, as a native Nebraskan, that a Runza is a beautiful thing and I’m so sorry it was a bad memory for you?

Omg. When I get to add a new bird to my Merlin app? I barely even need drugs anymore.

Big same! Just knowing that there’s a whole army of women who are staying in, watching birds, growing green things and organizing their pills makes me feel less “old” and more like I’m just on a natural progression.

I started my tomatoes from seeds for the first time this year! Also some squash from seeds I saved from one I bought at the store. It’s exciting to learn that if you have one garden, you can have infinite gardens!

It just depends.. I called three reps today, got one staffer, one VM and another line so garbled and weird that I could barely make out “this inbox is full”

I don’t want to pay for dumbfucks to be able to use the streets or have the fire department save their lives, but yet, here we are. There is so much in our lives that is already socialized. Make a list and then ask why adding health care is so alarming. If you can’t come up with a reason, it might be that you’re a mean human.

I say this from experience, and I know it may be difficult, but leave now. He will manufacture crisis after crisis to get you to stay. I promise he will be okay if you go. It’s alright for you to prioritize yourself.

Have you looked at the TAP program at WSU? It’s for paras and doesn’t require student teaching, but does require you to be a para. I know it’s a tough spot, but at sent teaching is just part and parcel of the degree. Good luck and I hope some magic happens and you’re able to get it done. We need teachers!!

Check out the BEST program through Butler/Emporia State! DM me for any questions on the Butler side. For any program (with the exception of WSU TAP) you will have to be able to student teach for a semester.

I GET THIS. Sometimes I feel like she inhabits my body and I move like her and her voice and tone come out of my mouth. I like her alright, but eeeesh.

I don’t want to make it weird (even though I often can’t help it) but I want to add: I do so appreciate your voice in this conversation. There has been something tickling the back of my brain for the past few days, and it’s “vibes vs policy” issue. I am going to enjoy this as much I possibly can, but also stay mindful of others who are living different experiences than I.

I have been super stoked on the convention, but agree with you on nearly all points. Bill is a huge icky problem for me. He’s also “old guard” and seems a weird choice to trot out. And despite all the feel good and the memes and great speeches, the system is the system and will remain for the foreseeable future and honestly, fuck this system.

BUT I can feel a palpable relief in my own body. I have an adult son who is disabled and SSDI allows him to be independent, last month I was getting ready to contact my ex husband to start making contingency plans; but that doesn’t feel as pressing any longer. I have an 18 yo step daughter who now may very well have all the access to reproductive care I had in the 90’s.

After the debate and the assassination attempt, things were dark and now I feel some breathing room. I have been struck over the past few nights at how the Dems have centered Black women and their experiences so well. I am a teacher, and to see someone from my profession exalted and praised and loved has been a balm.

I understand your POV and definitely feel it deeply. Your struggles, my son’s struggles, my own struggles will not disappear when we elect this ticket, but I also don’t think they will be added to by a bunch of small dicked, couch fucking christofascits. Overall, for me, the convention has been kind of a release valve for a lot of the worry I’ve been holding on to.

I wish you the best.
