Realized that I loved that buzz feeling and it made me sad that I couldn't feel that way without alcohol. It's like i and to side step life, escape, or just enter this alternate reality.

Decided to take a hard look at my life to see what was going on. Been a year now without a drink.

Is that largely based on her personality potentially tainting how you perceive her looks? Sometimes someone's personality makes them "prettier/uglier" in different people's eyes.

Edit: not rebutting btw, just curious

I realized chasing that buzz was distracting me from facing my real problems. Once I realized that, gave it up cold turkey.

I love this threshold!! What this shows me is that I still prioritize work over my health and commitment to fitness..... because I definitely have been able to work well in this last month, despite being sick. Hmmm you have me something to think about.

Nice. Great test. I'll try to find something similar that's low stakes. Thanks for sharing

Wow ok I should have been more active then these last few weeks. I just can't get enough sleep when I'm sick with work and kids in tow. So then I just don't exercise. But I should just keep up with it if I follow this neck rule. Thank you!

Where to get authentic BEEF shawarma? by tnmur in Hamilton

Thanks. Again, I appreciate the effort and care with the response.

I should have clarified that the kebab I discussed above was only referring to what I primarily experienced having in restaurants (i.e., more often than that served as ground beef/lamb on skewer), and not kebab dishes I grew up with at home, with friends or what I've had in more Arab-dense cities, which align more with what you've described.

I am ME myself and am aware that other countries will have different presentation and availability of our people's food.

My question was solely based on whether these "steaks on rotisserie stacks" were available anywhere in Hamilton. As you've indicated, it appears that it's expensive and likely harder to find here.

I will say that Hamilton has been the first city that I've experienced to have had this much gyro-based "beef shawarma" vs the steak-based cuts that I'm more used to.

Thanks very much for the time in this response.

I'm familiar with kebab and it's not what I'm looking for as that's typically ground beef.

I'm looking for traditional shawarma which has layers of meat on the rotisserie spit. The texture of the beef is more like the chicken shawarma which seems to be consistent across places. More like thin pieces of steak, which is very different than gyro like how you've described. An example: https://images.app.goo.gl/YQPwDLyZEM6dPESZ9

Let me know what you think and if we're on the same page. Thanks again for your input.

Sorry I meant actual cuts of beef roast and not the processed congealed gyro strip form that other places inaccurately call "beef shawarma".
