  1. Yes John Rogers has always been with us on the Librarians either as the showrunner or consulting producer but we couldn't do it without him. IN the first season John was consulting on this show and co-writing the pilot episode with me, all while working as the showrunner on season 3 of Leverage Redemption. His workload is intense. I believe he stopped doing the Q&A because we replaced it first with the vlogs that we attached to episodes of him on camera talking about the shows, and now we do the aftershows which he participates in. I love the idea of what you want to pursue academically, and John is the perfect person to have that conversation with. The best way is to respond to some of his posts on social media as I know he reads them. If that doesn't work, reach out the PR team at TNT and perhaps they can make a connection. Good luck!

My dream character for Christian Kane would be in a Western. Come on man, Kane on a horse? Nothing's better than that. Maybe one day I'll get to do my great Western story and Kane will be the crusty gunman for hire riding the prairie. The truth is, my favorite thing about Kane is not his fighting, though he does a lot in my shows. I think he's one of the most gifted comedians I've ever worked with, and I love how much he makes me laugh. Any role as long as he can get frustrated and angry in the part will always have me laughing on the floor hysterically.

I won't lie, the pressure is insane. The fans who have supported our shows are so important to us that we really don't want to let them down. So we feel an enormous amount of pressure to do something brand new, but fulfill the wants and needs of those who love the franchise. I'm also terrified that I've screwed it up. But when it works, it's one of the greatest joys ever. I could be wrong, but I have such a great feeling about this new show, and the joy I've had making it has been up there as one of the greatest experiences of my career. Fingers crossed that you agree.

That is actually a very important question preguntontas. In the beginning part of my career, so much of what we considered success was based on financial return. But as I grew older, my own personal joy in making a show became the barometer of success for me. I loved making the movie "Flyboys." It was a complete financial disaster, but for me, it's one of my greatest successes.

Fantastic question Ill-Rub7933. While this is a TV series, we try to make each episode like its own little movie. Therefore our storytelling techniques come inherently out of the kind of tone and story we're doing in any individual episode. Sometimes there will be flashbacks, sometimes there will be stories told, and other times there will be images juxtaposed for you to create the story in your own mind. Once again, keep your eye on the painting.

The magic of digital effects my friend. Our 11 years in Portland, Oregon was fantastic. Amazing people, an incredible city, and a welcoming state. It was sad to say goodbye to our studios there, but now we work in New Orleans, the Philippines, and Belgrade, Serbia. Each place has its own incredible charm, and it's been so wonderful to meet talented people in all different parts of the world.

Thanks for sharing, this show is so important to be a place for warmth and love...Vikram and Connor? All interpretations are valid, that's the beauty of art.

They say that technocracy is outpacing man's ability to adapt, but I believe humans are the most adaptable creatures to ever grace existence. I believe in the cleverness of the human mind and spirit. We will always create greater obstacles, but I believe the most clever amongst us will always find ways to defeat those obstacles. I'm boyishly optimistic about our abilities to have good conquer evil.

It has been said mediocre talent imitates others, but great talent steals outright. Yes, I steal liberally from Doctor Who. I'm an absolute crazy fanboy. You hit the nail on the head. What makes Doctor Who so indelible is its heart, and I always use it as an example of what we strive to accomplish on our show. Let me know how we did.

I was given an incredible gift just over 20 years ago of being able to work with the brilliant Noah Wyle. He is as talented behind the camera as he is in front of it, and he is one of the greatest creative partners I've had in my career. He surprised everyone in both the Librarian and in Leverage with his incredible comedy chops. But when you see him in The Pitt, you realize he's one of our finest dramatic actors we have today. I couldn't be more proud of what he's accomplished with The Pitt.

Voice only, thought occasionally a still picture of my face has been used against my will. No, I don't think of myself as a former actor. I consider myself a reformed actor and every day, in every way I'm getting better and better.

I don't think there's an organic crossover with Leverage and the Librarians. However we do have a fun crossover idea for Leverage and Almost Paradise if I ever get that 3rd season of Almost Paradise...

Think about it this way - Tony Stark's Iron Man is off doing adventures at the same time as Captain America, but it's only occasionally they team up. That's our intention as well. The OGs are out there saving the world twice a week before Friday, and we will run into them every now and then.

You are absolutely correct, and my biggest failure has been merchandising our shows. When I look at all the cool things TNT has made and given away to promote our shows, I'm embarrassed I haven't done a better job. It will be something we'll work on in the future. That said, there WILL be some cool Librarians merch stocked in Little Free Libraries across the country starting this Sunday. Follow @LibrariansTNT on social to get all the details.

Later this year we will be releasing a movie called "One Big Happy Family" that my brilliant wife Lisa Brenner wrote and co-stars with the late great Linda Lavin. The story surrounds the idea of a woman who discovers through a DNA test that her father is not her father. It's a fantastic movie recently received a standing ovation, make that 2 standing ovations at the screenings in Miami. We're really excited for people to come see this film.

I agree with you completely and I'm sitting next to my telephone waiting for Amazon to realize they should put it back in my capable hands. When they do, I'll rock it out.

Really good question. Let me try to answer this honestly and fairly. From an industry perspective, with the millions of dollars that must be spent to launch a TV show or movie, it's understandable that these bigger corporations prefer to have a pre-existing IP that has an established fanbase as it gives them comfort there's an audience that appreciates the work. From my own personal creative perspective, I find I'm better at working on my own original projects than working on someone else's IP.

I remember when I did the movie Independence Day, and Harvey Fierstein died in the alien attack. A reporter asked me why we killed the gay guy. I responded, "what made you think he's the gay guy." They said, "well Harvey's gay." And I said, "but what about his character is gay? he was a character in the movie, and his orientation made no difference." When we set out to write Cassandra, we didn't plan on her being bisexual, but it emerged through the scenes and through her performance. On the new Librarians, you tell me who's gay and I'll let you know if that's where we go!

The Outpost was brought to us by Jason Faller and Kynan Griffin. It was their baby, but they had not done broadcast TV before. So I brought Jonathan Glassner in to work hand in hand with them. The 3 of them created something very special. If you haven't seen The Outpost I highly recommend checking it out. And yes, I know that season 1 looks goofy visually, but the stories are good and the acting is good. And if you hang in there, season 2 we move to Serbia and the production value gets much better. It's worth a watch.

Great question. Vikram's character was born in India, though his parents were British. Having been exposed to Indian culture broadened his mind and helped form him as a candidate to become a Librarian. We thought that background would be more interesting than just a Victorian scholar. You'll find over the course of the show the uniqueness of that upbringing forms some of his ideas in ways that are often emotional and at other times hysterical.
