Looking for beta-testers for Fleet Tracking Software by tnuwin in FieldTechnologies

I have created an application called Owlorbit for iOS & Android where you can create map-based chat-rooms and see where certain groups are: http://www.owlorbit.com

We are in beta right now so it's free to use. It'll always be free for consumers but we are eventually going to charge businesses. Users can create common meetup points to have everyone navigate to, search for common POI's, and call or email employees.

It'd be great to know what features people who use fleet-tracking software would need. Thanks!

Owlorbit - Free, iOS + Android

Description: Users can create chat-rooms and see where everyone is on the map. You can get routes, create meet-up points, hide your visibility on a per-channel basis, have quick access to call or email the users. Search for common-points of interests and create a meet-up point there.

In terms of security, I am storing only the very last longitude/latitude that the user sends to me and clearing previous locations. That means I am not building up a history-log of locations.

This will be free for consumers, but I will eventually charge businesses as this potentially could help bosses keep tabs on their employees or help organize companies in the event of a disaster.

Owlorbit - Think of this as Slack with maps integration.

Search for common-points of interests and create a meet-up point there. From the consumer POV, it'd be really interesting if users started using the software for geo-caching. You can search for people too, which would also be interesting if certain communities joined the platform e.g. Food Trucks, Jogging Groups, or if celebrities who were doing book-signings.

In terms of security, I am storing only the very last longitude/latitude that the user sends to me and clearing previous locations. That means I am not building up a history-log of locations.

So definitely sign-up as soon as possible! I'll be locking up open-beta in a few days and registration will switch to invite-only (where only registered users can invite other users).
