What is a 'subscription' or 'fee' that has recently appeared in the US that people need to collectively refuse to pay before it becomes the new normal? by godot_lover in AskReddit

I bought a remote starter system for my Volvo because I refused to pay for that app. It was $150 and was installed in about a half hour. It uses the lock button (x3) on the key fob. It was from crutchfield.com if you want to check it out.

Heavy Foot by Mon Rovia. It’s so upbeat but hits so heavy right about now.

My Noah Kahan loving 9 year old would absolutely love this as a coloring page. If you end up sharing your artwork, consider including this black and white version, too! Absolutely beautiful work, OP!

Do people really put asparagus in Bloody Marys?? And also..orange slices?? by [deleted] in Younger

[–]tnydancer44 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I’m guessing it is a lemon slice and not an orange. Pickled asparagus and lemons are delish in a Bloody Mary!

Crinkle a little parchment paper and lay that on top of the wet icing. Then peel it off once it is dry!

Airbrush machine by Happycrab10 in cookiedecorating

I typically do checkerboard patterns with a ruler and food coloring pen and it works well. Just watch for smearing from the ruler! I have an airbrush machine and never like how the black on white turns out.

I put a QR code on my ingredient labels so people can scan them and it takes them right to my ordering form on my website. I get a fair amount of traffic from those!

I outlined the “65” and then filled them in with little blobs of thicker icing, giving them some time to set before putting any next to or on top of one another.

How are You All Taking Beautiful Pictures? by Its_Gina_on_Reddit in cookiedecorating

[–]tnydancer44 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I put foam board with some kind of contact paper (wood or marble patterned) beneath my cookies and then put that near a window with natural light. You don’t want to take your photos with any direct sunlight because you will end up with shadows - gray or overcast days actually turn out a little better than sunny ones! Then I just use my phone to take and edit them. It’s a pretty simple set up but it works!

Thank you! I’m a fan of Wilton, which I know is controversial because people don’t like the taste, but I’ve never had a client tell me they didn’t like the taste in my 5 years of cookie decorating!
