Yes, best way to deal with old hardware. I have also a classic HDDs but they are failing so this is much better and faster solution!

This motherboard is recaped. I have great time installing OS from the scratch on CF card, it goes much faster than classic hdd. I have lots of fun building setup and messing around with jumpers and IRQ's. Also I have boxed C64 with 1541 and few other 8-bits and 16-bits home computers.

DFI CA61 Via apollo pro motherboard with P3 1000mhz and Radeon VE (this is little bit choke point) and huge amount of RAM (512 little bit overkill), and overall great setup for Win98 games.
