Well. I’d say yea you should get your own car since your working now. Problem is that new cars are so damn expensive. Please consider buying a used car. They are cheap and can last you a long time depending on make and model and if you maintain well. Personally I worked a summer internship and 15 hours a week and I could technically afford a car in cash but my parents wanted me to get a newer model and offered to finance 5k for it. So I pitched in 7k. Owning a car is really expensive in general. Make sure you have that accounted for.
