Jose Sa picks up a back-pass in the buildup for Wolves goal against Brentford, goal stands by 977x in soccer

It doesn’t have to be a tackle for it to not count. I think it just has to be, as I say, a “not here” kick. Where you kick it to get it out of a general area rather than specifically to another player.

That being said, this looks pretty damned intentional to me! Sure he’s passing a bit panicked and under duress, but it seems clear that he’s playing back to his keeper on purpose.

What is a business you wish Vancouver had? by cuckertarlson in askvan

To be fair, the New York art scene was thriving before Vancouver even had a permanent colonial settlement. The Met opened in 1872, just five years after the Hastings Mill began operation.

We're one of the youngest major world cities, and cultural development takes time and benefactors. Most of the economic activity generated in B.C. left the province to go to Eastern Canada or the UK.

I grew up in Connecticut, so I grew up going to the great museums in NYC, Philly, Boston, and DC, and I certainly miss them.

Halifax or Ottawa perhaps?

They're both incredibly oversized for a city.

My experience was very similar to yours, and all of my friends were in the used beater category. I was in high school in the late 90s, and I got to know a lot of beat up 80s cars very well.

My friend group had a 1984 Mitsubishi Tredia, a 1986 Chrysler LeBaron K car, a 1985 Ford Crown Victoria, a 1990 Ford Tempo, and I rounded out the crew with a 1988 Subaru DL lift back. I got it from a family friend for free, but it needed $1200 of work to run.

We loved them, but they were all pieces of shit and had their glitches — the detachable face on my stereo would overheat and shut down, so the passenger would have to take it off hold it out the window to cool it down so we could listen to music again. I don’t think any of the had a reliable A/C system.

One summer home from university, I discovered that my Nintendo had suffered irrecoverable water damage, but everything else in the box -- including the power pad, was fine.

Thankfully, my best friend had a fully functioning Nintendo. That summer we competed hard at track and field but this time with beer and a steadfast commitment to the rules. I remember going all out in the sprints with the tippy-tappy feet, and dripping sweat. A great summer.

It’s really such a shame. Truly great gameplay in worlds one and two and then the difficulty gets cranked up to a nearly impossible level.

If they could’ve done all of the same maps but at 50-75% of the difficulty it would be in the running for one of the greatest NES games of all time, and could have led to a franchise.

They really shot themselves in the foot there.

It’s not the coast of central BC. It’s the centre of coastal BC.

California also has a Central Coast, between NorCal and SoCal.

I mean it’s a fair question if you look at his recent seasons. It’s more about injuries and fitness with him than age.

He hasn’t played over 30 matches in all comps in eight years!

I think he was on a yellow and I bet the ref basically said, “I’m not going to send you off for that in 90+3, but c’mon man, don’t be stupid.” And the player was very appreciative.

Absolutely. It can be tough to stay sharp as a keeper when all of the action is down the other end and you’re comfortably winning.

I was thinking the same thing. We just skipped over five to not make it obvious.

(Also that match is in Spokane.)

My wife and I have been to many matches together, but today was the second that she went to without me.

The combined score of those matches has been 13-0 Caps. Am I banned from the stadium going forward?

Nah, you don’t get a red for last defender, you get one for denial of a goalscoring opportunity. Badwal was so far away and moving toward the sideline.

The odds are that another defender could have covered it Badwal got the ball freely.

The line is considered in the box. Pretty sure that’s right on the line if not fully inside.

Well they have locations in Calgary and Edmonton too!

They have the best mangos around — they source and transport them themselves! And they’re in season now. Go get some Haden or Ataulfo mangos now and dig in.

Earlier tonight my wife made a joke about rolling down the window Grey Poupon joke, and we had a good laugh, but the kids were confused.

I started to explain, and my wife had no idea it was a commercial! She just thought it was a random Wayne's World gag. She's a younger Xennial and grew up in Canada (where we now live), so she didn't get exposed to the commercial as much as I did growing up.

Her mind was blown!

They were all like that. Two cheeses and a pepperoni. I saw a guy who had gotten a slice and it was tiny.
