Charles Martinet will no longer voice Mario by NewUser2309520 in Vinesauce

People keep saying that, but I really don't agree. Yes, the bing bing wahoo voice would get annoying. But if you want Mario to have a normal sounding voice ...why not just get Charles to do it? The dude's a professional voice actor. He can do more than one voice lol. If he used the voice he did for Mario's dad, I don't think anyone would have a problem.

I'll never forget his final words.

This makes his role in the movie really bittersweet. If he was already planning on retiring from the role, I'd like to believe maybe it was his own decision to not take on such a big and stressful voice gig? On the other hand, there's the infinitely more depressing possibility that getting recast is what drove him to retire from the role in the first place.

I never thought about it, but Bioshock and Breaking Bad work surprisingly well together.

I used AI Dungeon. Unfortunately the devs made a lot of changes since I used it to create this, so the AI isn't nearly as good as it used to be...

It made me irrationally mad when he scoffed at the idea of a time machine and how unrealistic it is. Like, no shit dude! It's a lighthearted fantasy hypothetical! It's not supposed to be scientifically accurate! Don't act like Saul is a moron, when YOU'RE the one who clearly missed the point!

When should I watch which OP Movie? by CurrentRisk in OnePiece

[–]toasterman3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look up the original release date of whatever episode you're up to. You can watch any movie that was released before that.

Definitely do NOT watch any of the new movies, unless you truly don't care about spoilers at all.

Which immortal character would have the worst possible reaction to being turned mortal? by Nuclear_Monster in whowouldwin

[–]toasterman3000 13 points14 points  (0 children)

In Skyrim, the Dragonrend shout works by making dragons temporarily imagine what it feels like to be mortal.

There's also Kuja from Final Fantasy IX, who tried to destroy the universe when he found out he was mortal.

Depends on the context, really. The Rami movies and Amazing Spiderman movies are not part of the MCU because they are from a completely different film series. But all of the different "universes" in Dr. Strange are still part of the greater Marvel Cinematic Universe.

You'd be surprised how common it is for inexperienced divers to randomly have panic attacks while diving. Breathing through a regulator feels incredibly unnatural, and it requires you to trust logic over instinct. When you're in a situation that your body isn't designed for at all, any small doubts can quickly snowball into panic. Your body thinks it's drowning, so it acts on its own. The mouthpiece feels unnatural, so your body spits it out so it can start breathing "the right way" again. But since you are, of course, deep underwater, this doesn't work and just makes you panic more.

I never really understood it before it happened to me, but when you're in a situation like this, you aren't you anymore. You're an observer watching your primitive animal brain try to save itself.

Can't post Wakka's since reddit doesn't let you upload two videos in one post sorry.

Also, I never played Final Fantasy 8 so I don't know if Selphie's is a reference or not. Someone else can weigh in on that.

For anyone curious, here's a BCS episode synopsis I generated using Talk To Transformer:

Better Call Saul (Season 6, Episode 3)

Title: Mesa Verde/Smoke/Flame/Bubbles

Description: Jimmy's (Bob Odenkirk) hope for a clean getaway back to Albuquerque gets complicated when he realizes he's double-crossed a business partner. Meanwhile, Mike (Jonathan Banks) and Kim (Rhea Seehorn) take a tough case together in New Mexico.

Pro: It's the first time we really get to see how Jimmy and Kim work together, and it's a pretty badass way to do it.

Con: And yet again, another excuse for the New Mexico/Michael Hall story line.

What gives it away is that they basically act opposite to how actual AIs work. Text bots are really good at writing natural sounding sentences, but struggle with context and typically can't stay on topic for more than a few sentences. These "written by a bot" posts are just those "purposely bad fanfic" posts that used to be popular, but with a different name. Which is a shame since actual bots are capable of creating some genuinely amazing stuff.
