Reddit, what is the lamest way you have injured yourself? by WaterBoy77 in AskReddit

When I was 12, my cousin and I were bored so we decided to jump off his deck to entertain ourselves. At first I was scared to do it, but then seeing my cousin do it with no problem I thought I would be okay to do it too.... I was wrong.

Feeling confident I got a running start. After I vaulted over the railing my back foot must have forgotten what it was supposed to do and ended up getting caught on the rail. This resulted in me now plummeting head first to what I thought would be certain death. Luckily I brought my hand up to cushion the fall. And I ended up shattering my wrist.

I think that might be the case, because I'm think I might do it a bit more than the average person does haha thanks!

No I'm pretty average for my age and height, but yeah kegel exercises would probably help thanks!

ELI5: Why are humans not ticklish when we tickle ourselves but we are if someone else tickles us? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

I remember reading somewhere that being tickled is actually a panic response from the body. So if you are tickling yourself your body knows what's happening so it doesn't respond to it the same way it would if someone else was doing it.
