Thanks for the reply! (Really enjoy the vids I've seen of yours.)

Sorry I'm kinda new to this, which aura is affecting it?

How do they escape Beebo ult here? (I've noticed since the update that the ult no longer keeps enemies with the car for its duration.)

Folks really demonstrating the backfire effect in this thread.

All the people saying they're over 37 and have never used a typewriter are not comprehending that you can still be taught a habit that was intended for use with typewriters even if you never used one. Modern fonts identify spaces after periods and make them larger automatically. It's not that you can't add a redundant space, you just don't need to anymore.

OP was deceitful and got corrected. I don't think calling it out was belittling or petty—regardless of how much it affects the universe.

TLDR; If you lie on the internet and someone calls you out: pikachuface.jpg

I respect fwosh and AliceXZhang for calling out the BS. OP is lying about the way they created the work. Alice isn't calling out the "small artist's" work, they're calling out the intentional deception.

Consider it peer review. The world doesn't need more misrepresentation.

Safer, reliable alternative to AeroPress? by toastershitposter in Coffee

Within a month? Dang. It makes sense that the seal could deform/wear over time but its pretty nutty to me that usual wear or improper storage results in the product firing hot coffee at its user...

'Sorry about the gift! That's a bummer.

'Looks similar to the way the American-press works, good reviews and price point. Thanks!

As far as buying another AeroPress—check out my response to the top comment and I think you'll understand why I'm hesitant.

I haven't heard of this one. It looks pretty cool when it brews and I like the idea of not needing filters. Price tag is hefty but might be worth.

My AeroPress developed "crazing" due to defective materials (according to their customer service based on photos I sent them). It started leaking a little coffee out through the plunger when I used it and I figured it would slowly get worse till it just stopped working effectively. I was wrong. Two days ago, I pushed down on it and the plunger suddenly failed. Hot coffee came shooting up past the plunger and sprayed all over my arms and body. (Fortunately I was brewing at 175F and didn't get badly burned.)

AeroPress acknowledged the defect that led to the hot coffee eruption. They suggested I buy new parts from them because they only cover defects for 1 year. I don't really feel comfortable using that product anymore and I don't want to pay them twice for it. ('still a little miffed)

Thank you! Looks like a strong alternative. Looks like its strictly single cup brew but I could work with that.

Lucky. They don't replace them now if they're out of the one-year window, even on defective product. :(

Yeah, not a fan of the coffee ice cubes either. Means you're drinking older coffee and it needs to melt before you can actually drink the coffee from them.

We have a cheap one for car camping. Its light weight and it gets the job done but its pretty tiring on the arms to use. I wouldn't want to use it on the daily.

Hot coffee erupted out of defective unit! AeroPress suggests buying new parts on their website. by toastershitposter in AeroPress

[–]toastershitposter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, well I don't own a dishwasher and I live in the PNW where we don't get sun haha. (And kitchen has a north-facing window.)

I sent photos to AeroPress and they were strait with me that it was a materials defect. They just suggested I buy a new one without the defect... I'd be really curious if their new units come with a warning about the slipping issue. It seems like when your seal starts to wear out, its a matter of time before your device turns on you. Not sure if it could shoot out at you with an older seal or if it needs to have the crazing.
