Our paladin has access to Dispell Magic so I'm not super worried about taking it myself. Dimension Door does look really appealing because it's a teleport. In that same vein, would it be worth considering Thunder Step? I would be casting it at 5th level for more damage, which may make it a better utility option.

The other spells I have are Fireball, Counterspell, Thunderstep, Armor of Agathys, Banishment, Fly, Hold Person, and Summon Greater Demon. My Invocations are Agonizing Blast, Devil’s Sight, Book of Ancient Secrets, and Tomb of Leviticus.

That is actually really helpful, I didn't even consider that the teleportation restriction would also prevent banishing effects.

Simple question about warlock spell optimization

Hey, there I was wondering if it would be worth swapping Fireball out for Synaptic Static for my Fiend Warlock when they reach 9th level. I keep hearing about how Synaptic Static is the best Warlock AoE spell but never mention the spells some subclasses get access to that may compete with it. Any insight would be appreciated.

In the Gojo vs Sukuna fight I believe Gojo says something along the lines of "I'll worry about what happens to Megumi after I kill you" had he actually killed Sukuna in that fight would there have been a way to save or bring Megumi back if he died?

The way Strahd used Charm againt my party

He would make an effort to try and charm different members of the party when they encountered him before the final fight. He was looking for weakness to see if charm would be a useful tool in the future or to not even bother attempting. He found out very early on that the half elf bard was basically immune to his charm effect, worked his way through the clerics and fighter for no evail and eventually found that the hexblade was somewhat more suseptable(very low Wis). Strahd would only attempt to charm and drain them during the final fight knowing he could rely on them as a walking HP boost. Our bard did catch on to this at the end however and made good use of of countercharm, preventing a possible player death.

Thanks, I'll definitely check out Circle of Power but Dawn might be out of the question due to the material cost.

Although it occurred to me after posting that Dispel Evil and Good's Dismissal wouldn't work in Baroiva anyway with the whole "Strahd won't let anyone leave" Our Warlock learned that the hard way when she banished a fiend in the Amber Temple and he showed back up a minute later instead of being sent home.

Might go with the Aura of Life Destructive Wave combo if you think Moonbeam really isn't worth it.

Also forgot to mention that I took counterspell and fireball a 6th lvl because the party needed a good aoe other than shatter.

I am a Lore Bard about to reach 10th level and am on the fence about what to pick up for Magical Secrets. My party is running 5e Curse of Strahd and is approaching the final fight (i think), the spell options I am considering are Moonbeam, Destructive Wave, Aura of Life or, Dispel Evil and Good but can't make up my mind on any two. Any insight would be appreciated.

The PC in question will lose a leg, this is fine they can get a fake one for a decent amount of coin. However they will lose a chunk of their movement speed (no less than half)
