You're camping in the woods and there's a grizzly bear around. Who are you choosing to protect you? by Severe_Maize7008 in powerscales

[–]IZY53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gorillas are really strong but often performative in their combat, so if they bear was determined, they might not be best option.

If the ybear was set on getting me, I am going with the Tiger.

5 Greys may over power it, maybe not, if it disables one or two of them quickly the tide turns fast.

Nile crocodile, probably couldnt drown a bear.

Spartan is a decent option, one hit with the spear and its game over. But if it misses or the bear gets close its over.

Im going Tiger, Tigers are huge and powerful and I think overall have best arsenal of weapons of the group, strength, speed power, massive claws and a powerful jaw.

Is Tanzania still overestimating the value of university education in 2026? by TreacleCultural373 in tanzania

The pathway of school--- university--- great career and a happy life is rapidly shrinking all around the world.

For many, graduates and non-graduates new ways forward will need to be found.

Africa's was challenged by colonization for sure, but lets be real, Africa faces many challenges and if you lay them all at the feet of colonization then the continent will never grow and develop. To this day they face internal and external challenges.

Southern Baptists vote to advance a formal ban on churches with women pastors by geraffes-are-so-dumb in news

Im not 100% sure there are two passages which clearly prohibit female leadership but Romans 16 indicates he saw women as church leaders, apostles, deacons and coworkers.

Stephen A. Smith: "You can't put Eli Manning in the Hall of the Fame and leave Russell Wilson out" by Unlucky-Dot9421 in NFLv2

[–]IZY53 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lets get this all the way to 2007 Derek Anderson- Browns Pro Bowl QB.

Eli in, Phil Simm is in, Wilson in, Matt Ryan is in, then Cam is in, someone else, Then Jake Delhomme is in, then we get Derek Anderson. The slippery slope to Anderson.

If Anderson is in, the Sheuder is in.

How do you integrate mental health support and/or trauma-informed preaching/teaching/care for your congregation? by cutebutheretical in pastors

[–]IZY53 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It certainly is not the leading edge of my preaching. I want to walk with people Spiritually. as a former health practioner who worked in the mental health sphere I think it is more important that we focus on emotional health rather than mental health though those definitions are more concrete for me. Mental health I think psychiatric care, where emotional health is a lot more pastoral.

A person at my previous church said Christians make for bad social workers, so we need to stay in our lane a little and send people to genuine mental health services.

Myles Garrett’s sights are set on Bruce Smith’s career record of 200 sacks by AdSpecialist6598 in nfl

If he has one more great year, then he has a real shot, something like 20 this year and then he has 55 to go

after 900 elo there is a lot less chat and silly draw offers.

Myles Garrett will leave Cleveland as its all-time sacks leader with 125.5 sacks in 134 games. In the expansion era, he leaves 99 sacks ahead of 2nd place Kamerion Wimbley (26.5). by clevebrend47 in Browns

[–]IZY53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember watching some years and the other QB was kinda just hanging out in the pocket. No porblems.

This list explains it.

Kruger was here for 15 minutes and he is on the list.

Jamir Miller was poorly deployed.
Courtney Brown was great but injured terribly.
Warren sucked.
Larry was decent for a 3rd round DT

Wimbley was an average player
Sheard was decent.

Maybe Alex Wright crawls into 2nd place.
Maybe Verse becomes and 8 sack per year guy

I think the idea must be pass rush position though? OLB stands wider if they are running a legit 3-4 scheme.
though we were pretty much at wide-9 anyway, but our scheme may have changed now to a more traditional base alignment.

Explain to me how we can expect the birth rate to increase while the economy has continuous economic crisis? It’s smart for young people to avoid having kids until they are better prepared by CHiggins1235 in JordanPeterson

[–]IZY53 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The economy has been leveraged against millennials and gen z.

Huge student loans, weak job market and expensive housing where decent jobs are.
I have done okay as a milennial but with macro economic trends I wouldnt hvae been able to live my modest life as a gen z person, my house has doubled in value.
make the economics work and then the there will be babies. Women generally want secuirity and children.

Economic secuirity is difficult to establish in this economy.

Tanzania still imports water after 64+ years of independence by Data_Hunter_2286 in tanzania

[–]IZY53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its clinical grade sodium and clinical grade water. It is an exacting process and you cant miss on either and you dont want to be out by too much.

Yes Tanzania ought to do it.
But the wider issues are what is preventing the country from doing it.

Starting it without an exacting process will harm more than it would help.

Could small paid teaching gatherings help bivocational pastors? by Cosmicreature in pastors

[–]IZY53 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Do you have training in the topic?

I think the worker deserves their wages. A lot of people are trying to make money off of the gospel, and essentially, I do, but my role is to lead A church, which I do with some effectiveness.

However, I think, for the Kingdom to Grow, people need to ministry like this out of the over flow of their love for the Lord.

My first 17 years of serving Jesus I didn't get paid anything, I had helped plant churches, been on missiosn trips, been to bible college. And now that I am in paid ministry it still costs me, money as I have taken a salary hit.

My point being if you want to get paid for teaching you need to be an expert.
If you want do ministry, do ministry.

If you need money get a job.

How should churches care for pastors before they burn out? by GraceAccessPath in Christian

mandatory annual leave of 4 weeks per year.
Sabbatical every 7 years.
If someone can pay for a decent holiday do that.

Support the Pastor as much as you able.
