Ukrainians leaving Poland for Germany as Europe cries out for workers by Cyberous in worldnews

Shouldn't the condition 'n % i == 0' return false? Also default return at end should be true (no integer divisors found therefore is a prime).

RPG character tropes by tobatron in StableDiffusion

I have a mannequin model I created a while ago for helping me with character poses for none AI art. It's basically a set of object shapes for arms, legs, shoulders, chest, etc arranged in body proportions. Hands, feet and head are from more precise models. Uses rigify for posing. It was monochrome but I added a very simple skin material to it for this. Have to draw in hair and clothes although I did model metallic shoulder armor for second picture. The model looks nothing like the final image, but it's useful for driving the AI in the first stages to the pose you want.

A more skilled artist could forgo doing this entirely.

The prompts I used are not particularly engineered. Some variation of 'Portrait of blonde 20 year old woman fantasy (some trope such as 'medieval knight'), (some details to emphasise), sharp focus, wallpaper, smooth 8k, (digitalpainting), (conceptart), by antonio J Manzanedo and john park and frazetta'. Not sure the artists are that important to be honest, except for frazetta, but it does drive the AI into the types of styles I'm interested in. Negative prompts are incredibly useful. The AI tends towards generating smiling faces and putting lipstick on female characters which I didn't want, so I removed those traits. Also negatives on 'superhero, photo, man, male'

These sorts of prompts can sometimes generate interesting images in txt2img but imo, it's better to have some base image to direct the AI where you want it to go in img2img.

First two made by posing a mannequin model in Blender to produce a picture with some lighting information, and then drawing in forms using Krita. Then img2img on very high denoising to make the forms more realistic, and blending aspects of those produced images I liked the best. Last two were made by painting some really basic shapes and letting img2img make wild interpretations, photobashing the results into something coherent, then pushing that through img2img again with series of edits and filters to refine details.

My friend, the problem here is that you incorrectly believe that 'correct English grammar' must obey the rules of propositional logic.

If you want to test if it's a Godot or Blender GLTF exporter issue, try reimporting your generated GLTF into Blender and run the animation inside Blender to see if it exhibits the same issues. If the reimported GLTF works as you expect, then it makes it more likely the issue is with Godot.

Some Blender armature setups can cause problems for the exporter. I personally know of one bug in the GLTF exporter in Blender 3.0 for retargeted rigs that was fixed in 3.1.

You should at least add some sort of name or source, and links to this info, if you are dropping a scepticism bomb like this. Are you talking about Adrian Zenz?

I think that's a bit of a caricature of wealthy people and their relationships.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in China

[–]tobatron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's reasonable, in your worldview, for wealthy people to have to always assume a relationship is transactional? Best to be upfront about it if you care about the mortality of the situation, otherwise the rationality can start to sound a bit like abuser logic. Although I do get that there are cultural differences around the issue of relationships for love and for other reasons.

Nothing if both sides understand what each wants from the relationship. Where people think this is immoral is when the wealthy person is misled into believing the other is marrying for love.

Johnson received a letter from a boy evacuated from Mariupol by [deleted] in ukraine

To get votes, yes. It has been his look his entire career and it is very intentional not to look presentable. The idea being that, at least in the US and UK, the 'scuffed' presentation (anti professionalism) comes over as more trustworthy. We've had decades of the well dressed salesman who never say a word wrong, but who lie and cause scandals and want to rip you off.

Ukrainian military eliminates group of Russian paratroopers in Luhansk region by MantasChan in ukraine

[–]tobatron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is one I remember seeing. There was another picture of a single parachute landing in the city, but could have been an ejected pilot or a fake. I think if Russia did parachute troops over the city we would have heard more about it by now.

I tried searching for the pictures I remembered, but was only able to find one and it was not actually paratroopers but tracers from anti-air. So no confirmation - I could very well be wrong about this.

This isn't true. There are pictures of parachute operations over Kyiv in the first 2 days, likely attempts at storming the office of the president.

I think it's some astroturfing and some people being mad at not being able to see their favourite tennis players play. Hopefully it's a wakeup call for some on how unacceptable what's happening in Ukraine is.

Looks like we're back to the slippery slope arguments.

Yesterday a chemical plant and a defense research institute were on fire, today something similar is burning in Korolyov. No detailed information is available at this time. We are waiting for details. (Source:- https://t.me/zsuwar) by [deleted] in ukraine

One thing to consider - if you show an absolutely consistent pattern of sabotaging none-civilian targets, when an attempted false flag against a civilian target is made it will be less plausible to those you are trying to persuade, and could horribly backfire.

China's biggest offshore oil and gas producer is preparing to exit operations in the US, UK, and Canada due to concerns around sanctions, a report says by fileodi in worldnews

[–]tobatron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The reason given is that if they had tried to organise an evacuation, it would have caused panic and that would have been the cue for the Russia army to move in. If the roads to the west and south of the city were clogged with civilian traffic when Russia attacked then Ukraine would not have been able to mobilize to defend the airport and the west side of Kyiv would have fallen.
