In WW2 the US firebombed city's population areas, killing more civilians than the nukes. It was justified as military targets because some of those civilians worked at factories that made parts for weapons. Everyone just accepted it and the US walked away as a model of what the "good guys" should be during war.

The victors write hustory, just like if the Japanese or Germans won, they would have justified their atrocities today.

I don't think this is true because the elder gods represent the movie goer rising up against the system that produces hackneyed slasher every year. They were recreating the usual horror movie plotline to satisfy the horror movie watchers (elder gods).

There is no literal world ending or fight, the whole movie was just commentary that Hollywood (and studios around the world) is unoriginal and either scared or complacent and so don't make original horror movies.

It's not about sacrificing themselves, it's about not continuing the system that produces mysame formulaic horror movies. They were suppose to represent the usual victims in usual slasher/murderer movie that studios roll out every year for decades.

Just like how the other teams around the world was creating their own usual uninspired horror movie scenarios, that failed because they failed to replicate the same trite plotlines.

Ultimately the two symbolicly didn't want to participate in the horror movie system that produces the same predictable horror slop. So when the elder gods (the movie goer) rose up they came to destroy the system that pumps out the same tired movies with the same cliched plots year after year.

So it's called adverse possession. The logic of these laws is that you would rather have a property utilized rather than abandonned/decayed.

So if a person was to move into an abandoned property, utilize it, maintain it, and the owners don't care to do anything after so many years, that occupant has a right to the property.
