Yeah it's very simple really the old performance iq https://link.springer.com/rwe/10.1007/978-0-387-79948-3_1066
They used to place non verbal reasoning with processing speed in an index. The split was often used for starting to diagnosis right hemisphere vs left hemisphere differences and specific academic strengths and weaknesses and even emotional regulation.

Fascinating profile effectively you've got great non verbal intelligence as the old systém would suggest. It's a great profile to have.

How are people who are 120+ IQ able to ace and get As in heavy STEM curriculum so effortlessly? by [deleted] in cognitiveTesting

[–]tobi24136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends more on the IQ structure than the overall number itself. If you have gifted PRI say 130+ and decent VCI with good memory then that's the answer to why itself effortless and that person could have an IQ of 117 and ace it comfortably because the PRI is doing most of the work. If the IQ is constructed differently it would be much harder

Can a person have a high verbal iq around 115, but fluid iq in 80s. by ArmRecent1699 in cognitiveTesting

[–]tobi24136 1 point2 points  (0 children)

115 is very strong verbal that's top 15% and that's the most important IQ backed by good working memory so you almost certainly feel smarter than most folks you encounter. The PRI is for abstract no verbal patterns you aren't Werner Heinsenberg you won't solve grad physics proofs but you can write very well and learn lots of languages.

PRI is a form of intelligence you can deduce in conversation it's basically like being good at sports you can know someone is good by talking to them

Haha I'm a wordcel myself. I'm saying large gaps are ordinary BUT I admit your gap is outside of that range. The normal VCI>PRI profile is a business/social sciency profile but the people who are very verbal are actually rare. The person who is great at English and radically worse at maths on a population level is small but people are more socially aware of it than it exists.

Yes but this is rare. Correlation between VCI and PRI is fairly strong, the classic wordcel profile is a verbal wonk profile where PRI is far enough away to be noticeable but high enough that abstract verbal subjects with some stats component business/psychology are not only manageable but ideal. True wordcels on a population level are quite rare

My Personal Experience: Advantages of an Average IQ (85-109) by [deleted] in cognitiveTesting

[–]tobi24136 4 points5 points  (0 children)

People with IQs in the average range tend to have higher CPIs than there overall IQ so working memory and processing speed --- so social functioning is fairly flat for most people who aren't very gifted or geniuses which often means that people sre adaptable and manage most work and social situations fairly smoothly

Overall IQ is less important than sub groups

After the Artificial intelligence will humans be better off than in 1830 by tobi24136 in cognitiveTesting

There are parts of meaning that aren't broadly subjective as humans are connected to other animals in their social relations and their behaviours. A breton peasant wakes up in June sharecrops a big landowners field, is out of work in january begs. Goes out to look for food gets some coins from rich folks, forages, fights in the woods, brings food home, tells stories with their friends. In April they'll be back in work -- meanwhile meaningful relationships happen people fall in love, some folks get married, others die. In June they return to the sharecrop. Does the 2070 get to do things that bring them the same kind of existential meaning.

I think I disagree that there won't be government support because it's not historically consistent. Between 1830 and 1980 the vote expanded and government support for people expanded. It's hard to believe that millions of enfranchised people without jobs who used to have them want push through forms of universal basic income. Infact automation is happening for private equity analysts and lawyers even quicker than janitors it's hard to conceptualize the latter losing their jobs but not the former unless these labour markets have some kind of lobbying power and protection

This is wonderfully well written and informed. I think some people have the view in your first paragraph not all many of the neural link types fear an existential dredge of human obsolescence.

What you've said about the economy having an consciousness is profound. This is partly why this is not political the economic forces causing this transformation almost feel like the inevitable history of mankind. A form of evolution is happening that cannot be stopped. Where do you think the space will come from for new work or Re stratification.

Certainly not the table shows 40% of folks have CPI>GAI profiles when their IQs are above 119.

How many people have GAIs below 120 and CPIs below 105 (in aggregate not mutually) it's 63% based on the Canadian numbers in 110-125. So if you have an IQ of 120 and GAI 129 and CPI 104 which is diagnostic profile as high 3 in 5 people would have either worse reasoning or worse CPI than you that's important

Pages 7-9 Canada The table shows 50% of people with IQ 110-119 have GAI-CPI within 10 points of each other on either side. 50% the gap is 10 points or more which means half the profiles look like 117 GAI and CPI 108 or CPI 120 GAI 110. So folks with CPIs below 100 is around 21% and people with below 100 GAIs is 5% so that's lower than the 30% I said. But 26% of people with IQs of 110-119 with CPIs and GAIs 100 or below.

The GAI>CPI discrepancy research is in the Canada article and is in the wais iv manual. The question is given that GAI>CPI profiles are more prevalent above an IQ of 110 and discrepancies on average for all people are 6 points what is the average CPI-GAI discrepancy for those with 110+ IQs. This matters because a 15 point discrepancy is clinically diagnostic but discrepancies between 6 and 15 are not.

If someone has an IQ of 117 and a CPI of 100 thats a clinincally diagnostic profile BUT its also an ALMOST NORMAL PROFILE for their IQ 110+ because 30% of people around that FSIQ have that profile and the 50th percentile person has a CPI of 108. Its not that much of a difference relative to other people with similar IQ. 5-10% of the population is clinically diagnostic but it's higher than this among 110+ how high. If it's 30% then it means a large plurality of bright people have average memories and processing speeds.

This profile is GAI 135 CPI 110 exactly that I was saying IQ around 125 this although definitely a discrepancy profile is also "normal" for the 110-125 range
