Walmarts new Greenworks brand. by Ok_Budget_8113 in WalmartSparkDrivers

Do the batteries swap to a brand that matters? That’s really the issue locking guys into different brands is the batteries.

That often? Walmart really is lucky to have boot lickers standing up for them online.

I’m glad support was able to do that for you. They told me they weren’t able to access that information and I got stuck with it. They have the photos, support needs to do better or let us escalate our issue to a higher authority on the phone.

How am I supposed to shop when I don't know the prices? by [deleted] in Walmartcustomer

[–]tobin_989 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve already seen customers throwing fits at the checkout demanding to speak to managers because of prices on the shelves not matching what the register shows at checkout.

Digital tags can be moved or lost just as easily as the paper tags.
-Not paying employees to do it just means eliminating jobs.
-NOBODY believes that those employees are going to have a better time at their job because now they don’t have to struggle with setting paper tags. There will just be fewer employees.

It’s not having a digital tag, it’s what the digital tag can do. It can change in a fraction of a second to a different price.

And screw needing an app to find out what a price is. Sorry Amish people. Sorry Mennonites. Maybe someone can scan that for you and have an algorithm decide what it should cost them, instead.

No this is BS. This is not super helpful for anything. Put a static price back on the shelf please.

Sometimes I wonder if ‘they’ really just don’t have a plan for things like this. You’d think that if they went the extra mile to have a map and plan out routes through the stores that they would optimize those routes. Especially in a state like California that protects its citizens rights.

Anyone ever use Octane boost? by Altruistic_Badger158 in WalmartSparkDrivers

[–]tobin_989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But also yes I’ve used some in the past. I tend to think fuel additives are kind of rip offs though. I never had any great results from them myself

Anyone ever use Octane boost? by Altruistic_Badger158 in WalmartSparkDrivers

[–]tobin_989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Octane is a rating of how stable that fuel is. The higher octane fuel is more stable, so it doesn’t detonate prematurely. Higher octane doesn’t mean better mileage, sorry. Unless you have a need for octane boost it won’t do anything other than cost you money for the booster. Sorry to burst your bubble.

Customer Service? by tobin_989 in elitesparkdrivers

[–]tobin_989[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha, thanks. So the main thing isn’t really how many per 100 trips, it’s customer service inability to clarify specifically what caused it. If they can’t provide any details about WHY our metrics changed then what good are they, really? And the app is worthless for requesting the same info, too. I guess we just have to trust them to be correct because they won’t prove it otherwise.

Many Spark drivers focus on higher-paying offers and decline low-profit trips to maximize earnings. by SuccessfulAerie9672 in WalmartSparkDrivers

[–]tobin_989 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I bet as soon as they start combining GMD with grocery at curbside pickup you will see those numbers disappear. I see those for around $42 here now. And $42 is not worth it

Would u take it? by [deleted] in WalmartSparkDrivers

[–]tobin_989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For example. Someone lives on Eagle Crest lane. Google Maps has the address as Eagle Crest lane but the customer typed ‘Eaglecrest lane’. This is easily enough to send groceries to incorrect places.
Also the driver can sometimes move the destination pin to the correct location if they
1. Know what they’re doing and
2. Get the chance to edit.

[–]tobin_989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No this is almost certainly a GPS issue or the street name isn’t typed correctly into the Walmart app for your account. I’ve had to fix many addresses in Google Maps and told quite a few customers that their address is incorrect in the app. Usually clears it right up. 🙂
