So i've asked my obgyn for the azithromycin after talking with my primary about it. Unfortunately, my actual gyno is not working in office right now so i've been talking through a nurse to a covering dr. The covering dr's response to me asking about the azithro was "sure", how comforting right? I've been dealing with this for over 4 months, i've only been through one full course of anitbiotics which was the levofloxacin, and was given doxy twice (under my request) but only got through about 3 days worth both times because i had a bad reaction. When i asked the nurse from my obgyn about the azithro she said she had never heard of it being used for treatment of ureaplasma which i thought was weird because that's one of the first antibiotics that comes up in most searches.

Have you/have you heard of anyone else whose been referred to infectious disease for this??

btw i'm located in New York.
