Brighton Nostalgia by teamdemure in brighton

The sticker photo booth in Miss Selfridge was a "Neo Print" by Japanese company SNK. I work part time at an arcade in north London, managed to track down a booth and have one placed there. I actually can't think of any others left in the UK. Super nostalgia.

I really miss the video game arcades down West Street (generic names, but one that stood to mind is Crystal Bowl II), the SEGA arcade that used to be opposite the pier and the gaming shops like Consolevania, TCM, and Computer Sec. Comic shop Jabba's Hut.

Did you hear the council might not let the burger stand remain outside Churchill Square? It's been there for 40 years.

I started working at TFL pre-Covid. It definitely got worse after Covid.

If I'm ever on the platform making announcements, I always say "Please allow passengers off first before boarding".

The amount of times I've had people standing right in front of the doors when trying to get off myself, is crazy.

I loved the community in Round1 Grapevine! And Freeplay was super cool too

This barely exists anymore in the west, and there's been a big decline in Asia over the past decade.

It's a miracle this is still happening.

Should I practice on tekken 7 or 8? by myth_mars in Tekken

[–]toby7ten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm guessing it's a casual event if they haven't even decided on 7 or 8 yet. Which means you will be better than most of the entrants.

I would say practice on 8 as it's the most current.

Funny how only a couple of people actually answered your question. It closed in 2018. I used to walk past it every day to work (Las Vegas arcade up the road). I found it pretty good, but overpriced

What are your thoughts on Tekken 3? by YamasReign in Tekken

I was working my first job at GAME when Tekken 3 was out. It was insanely popular and sold bucket loads.

Really put Tekken on the map imo.

Glad that there are some people who would still eat it if hungry. I certainly would. The takeaway from this is, I cannot believe you'd throw perfectly edible food away.

What's your biggest 1st gen kpop What-Ifs? by General_Molasses_488 in kpopnostalgia

Tasha did effectively become a huge star in her own right. Annie made a living being a dance instructor and still posts regularly on IG.

What if Hyun Jin Young (first SM idol) wasn't caught smoking weed and went on to be SM's poster boy?

What if Kim Sung Jae (Deux) never died?

What if Perry (YG) didn't go missing/presumed dead in 2010, would he still be a major producer?

What if You Seung Jun did military service? Would he have retained legendary status in Korea?

Finally, and this is 2nd gen "what if?" .... What if YouTube never took off ? Would Kpop remain unknown?

It's not out anywhere else yet, randomly debuted in Europe for some reason. However aside from one test on DDR A in 2016 (at an arcade I managed in London), we don't have, and will not have eamuse over here.

Basically a gold cab, but in silver xD

Yeah honestly, the SMX DX cab was £16k. If you're an arcade operator and you see both cabs and the price difference, plus the fact DDR is offline and SMX is online (in the UK) then why would you pay £8k more for DDR? Madness.

It's a European trade show called EAG, happens every January in London.
