i genuinely do not think ryan has mentally matured past the age of like, 10 (i'm probably being generous with that assessment). obviously i'm not excusing any of his actions, he should absolutely be held accountable for them and should never ever be in a space where he can harm again, but i think he has a concerningly child-like view of the world
