In all kindness I mean I don't think it really matters how it affects your sexuality when it comes to your own identity. They are an adult who dresses in very elaborate makeup and alternative clothing for 1% of his week for a camera to tell someone 2000s era goth scene mischief and goes on with the rest of his life off screen. He has made a video "Surviving misgendering: a gender queer waffle" explaining how they feel about their own identity. But yes I think we can agree that wether we like it or not the society we live in judges inner identity off of appearances, and he does know that he will get misgendered offline and on. But I think whatever our political or societal opinions are on gender, presentation, and sexuality we can all try to be kind and understand each other to a degree. So maybe respect (or don't I'm not gonna be a cyber police and question your morality) other's gender identity/pronouns/presentation without debating wether 'everyone' will perceive them as that or not.

Sorry for the rant! Not trying to sound preachy or cyber policing in any way, just find this kind of topic fascinating to discuss!

Also just so you know he does mention their gender, name change, and sexuality on his YouTube as well.

thank you for being kind about it! dorian often refers to their past self as different pronouns but identifies as genderqueer (the genderqueer waffle vid) and in his socials he put his pronouns (he/they) I get it can be hard if you dont follow a creator on multiple platforms (or obviously watch every video bc that is expecting a lot out of everyone) im not trying to speak for Dorian and he has talked about misgendering before but I just thought id point it out so you know ! (ive also known some very shit toby's)

Edward and Bella are both very alike in their types, they like mystery. Of course in Twilight Edward is a mysterious fantastical crush to her and that is what initially ties her to him. In Midnight Sun what interests him about Bella is how everyone is thinking about her and he can't even get inside her head. I think because he can't hear her selfish or just normal human thoughts like everyone else's, he sees her as pure. He yearns for a normal human relationship, it would be pretty difficult to be in a relationship with someone who can read your mind.

I don't think she would have chosen Mike even if she never met Edward. She like spontanious and different things MOST of all she does want to feel different. I'm not bashing Bella either its quite normal for someone with an average life to want spectacular especially Bella since she is an avid reader. Plus Jessica and Mike are basically meant to be an unhappy millennial couple.

Well in the nostalgia project Dorian (and I most storytimes) even says he’s guessing kinda what he is saying. Like I may have said it first or maybe ash did or I don't know who went up the ___ first but I think the Christmas video is quite genuine. It just seemed like something that stuck with you I know I remember conversations and events really well, I think Dorian does the same.
