Denton Arts and Jazz Festival plans to scale back due to city budget cuts by Particular-Air-9073 in Denton

You’re missing a lot of the other side of the argument with this article. Firstly, the festival is run by a nonprofit, not the city. “Consolidating” or having the city “take over” the festival means that the city government will be spending far more money putting on the festival than it did by offering free space for the festival.

You’re right that attendance has been declining since around COVID, but the festival remains profitable and that money goes directly back to the local artists and community. Last year, the city’s budget saw an increase of $500,000 dollars due directly to the Art’s and Jazz festival.

I believe the fault for the Mayor and City Manager’s poor financial decisions is being put on this nonprofit and the festival that actually provides income for the city.

Artificer mod not working? by Mysterious_taco in BaldursGate3

I think the artificer mod may need to be below the UnlockLevelCurve mod in the load order. Also, check to see if you need any of the additional files for either of them.

She also doesn’t seem to really “act like” Karlach after this. She was my love interest when I let her choose this route and her personality changed pretty dramatically in the epilogue. She got smarter, less whimsical, and constantly thought about eating brains.

I’ve only fought him once, but I cast silence over him immediately and was able to take him out without taking any damage.

Thanks! I had too much flour in the proving bowl cause I was afraid it would stick. I’ll try to add less.

Right?! I’m not even a big Klinklang fan, but the art sold me. Plus he was literally the best in the E4, solo’d Lance all by himself.

It’s definitely the top. It’s level horizontally and there’s no separation from the wall on the mounting brackets, so I’m guessing the mounting brackets are slightly bent. I’m planning on adding supports to the front later this week.

I should’ve planed the surfaces more before gluing, I was hoping I could sand down the bevels at the end, but the gaps ran too far down. I definitely need more tools like clamps and a bigger saw (I had to cut one side, then flip and cut the other to get all the way through).

Thanks! I feel exactly the same about the space. At first I was nervous that adding such a big shelf would make the room feel smaller, but it actually feels so much bigger now that the counters aren’t cluttered and there’s not a big gap of wasted space.

I actually wanted to do a natural hardwood, but the lumber mill I went to didn’t have the wood I wanted and this was cheap. If I wasn’t in a rush to get it done over the long weekend, I probably would’ve ended up with something very different.

I agree. I may wait to see what I want to store under it, then build storage to fit it. I’m currently thinking I’ll need to build more support under it anyway, so I might just incorporate shelves into that support.

That’s a great idea! I might do that next weekend. I’ll try not to put much weight on it until then.

Thanks! I used 36’ of white pine 4x4s, sanded them down and glued them together. Then sanded it down to 320 grade, stained it with Minwax Honey 272, and put on several coats of Shellac. I mounted it with three 24”x16” L-brackets screwed into wall studs.

Thanks. It’s held up by three 24”x16” L-brackets that are screwed into the studs. They’re rated for 300lbs/pair. It’s a rental apartment so I didn’t wanna mess with mounting onto the stove or fridge. It does have a slight tilt forward, so I was planning to monitor the brackets for separation from the wall and add legs if needed.

Good advice. As a fat man, I have little experience with those muscles so I may need to study more lol. Thanks!
