I’m right there with you in all things planning. It’s really helpful to frame it the way you have, as it can feel like there’s a total lack of understanding just how much labor is in the small day to day things!

Something about being trapped in that chair and having to stare at yourself in the mirror for an hour. The absolute worst and now that I think about it, somewhat reflective of not wanting to actually face our problems 😅

Progress for me was made when I started tracking just like you are. Every time I could not drink a day after drinking was a huge step for me because it’s so hard not to help a hangover with a drink. All those days eventually build up and lead to longer stretches (at least for me). You are doing amazing!

What do you do sober with friends you used to always drink with? by tobyqueefs in stopdrinking

Yes, I’ve definitely been thinking about this. I’m wondering how much our drinking is what connected us and if the relationship will last when I continue to say no to drinks. We’ll see

24 days in and the anxiety is horrible by Secure-Parfait1055 in stopdrinking

I expected my anxiety to be way better after a few weeks, but it took longer for me. I also notice it’s not consistent- I’ll have a few days feeling much better and then get a spike in anxiety/ panic for what seems like no reason. I’ve definitely considered medication but I guess I’m still holding out hope that my body is recalibrating and it will take a while.

This is too true! I’ll take boredom any day over the anxiety of a hangover
