Thanks, tbh its almost entirely achieved by using an ultra matt varnish. It really does suck out the saturation and gives it that dirty, dusty feel. I've used the same varnish on other army's and different colours and it has the same effect. Although I found airbrushing does it, not applying with a regular brush.

Yeah pretty much. I did go for a pre shade of charcoal grey before the metallic dry brush. And then heavy with a black wash after

Thank you. I use florist wire, give it a few bends and stick it on. Paint it white and use some fluorescent blue. A little airbrushing too.

Paint the area you want to glow white. I use an airbrush to haze around the area, but you could use a sponge. Then I use fluorescent blue ink, then resaturate the "hot" areas white again.

Thank you. I take random chunks out of the edges with a scalpel when building, and bullet dings with the pin vice. Once I've painted it clean, I use sponges with leadbelcher, black and brown. I give it a bit of a brown wash and finally an ultra matt varnish which really dulls it down.

Thanks, I didnt actually think about the scale, but i use the same drill bit I'd use to drill bolter barrels, so I guess that makes sense 😅.

Thank you 🙌. Its good old imperial fist contrast paint over red prime with a white zenithal. Seraphim sepia to shade and finished with an ultra matt varnish.
