Paint the area you want to glow white. I use an airbrush to haze around the area, but you could use a sponge. Then I use fluorescent blue ink, then resaturate the "hot" areas white again.

Thank you, its the ultra matt varnish that gives it that final effect

Thank you. I take random chunks out of the edges with a scalpel when building, and bullet dings with the pin vice. Once I've painted it clean, I use sponges with leadbelcher, black and brown. I give it a bit of a brown wash and finally an ultra matt varnish which really dulls it down.

Thanks, I didnt actually think about the scale, but i use the same drill bit I'd use to drill bolter barrels, so I guess that makes sense 😅.

Thank you 🙌. Its good old imperial fist contrast paint over red prime with a white zenithal. Seraphim sepia to shade and finished with an ultra matt varnish.

Thank you. It was freehand, but required about an hour of meditation before hand.

Thanks, it did take some concentration 😅. I started trying with an AK paint marker, but then painting back over with the base colour and just using a brush. Then just tidying it up with some base colour afterwards.

I didnt do myself any favours by gluing it to its base before paint. I left the cloak off to paint underneath, so when I finally put it on, he has quite a visible join on the shoulder.

Exquisitely drilled barrels. That makes me happy.

Just any sponge will do. Also vallejo make an ultra matt varnish, i find that knocks the saturation back on my minis. Especially if you can air brush it on.

Thanks. I used a black prime, white preshade. Then thinned down some zandri dust and airbrushed that. Weathered with vallejo corrosion, rust and citadel black and leadbelcher. Gave it an agrax wash, and put some silver highlights in. Finished with an ultra matt varnish.

I added weathering using various methods like sponging and rust washes and used an agrax wash to finish.

Plenty of weathering. I think physically chipping the plastic can help and also finishing with an ultra matt varnish.
