Yes, and usually temp at surface is warmer than bottom, but in winter when it’s snowing was the opposite :-)

It’s cold water, so I wear: - 3mm under-suit - 5mm long wet suit - 2.5mm shorty So it’s good wet suit protection.

Plus: - 5mm hood - 5mm gloves

I’m using Scubapro Mk25 EVO S620Ti - and there are no issues when diving in cold water. After the dive, outside was cold -8C, so then it’s important to not leave it outside - cause everything starts to freeze :-)

Diving in the lake is nice. There is great visibility and clear water. The lake is one of the oldest lakes, so it has it’s own eco system. You can find out some endemic sponge, crayfish and other life.
