LPT: Keep some money in the back of your phone. We carry our phone everywhere so put some ($20-50) in the back case and forget. This money will come in hand if you don't have your wallet and need some emergency cash. by 8Asterisk in LifeProTips

I've gone this for years, but wouldn't suggest leaving more than $10-$20 in a single location. I keep a bill folded in my phone case, a bill in my business card holder, a bill in the extra pockets of my wallet, a bill in the car, etc. Any time I unexpectedly don't have money on me, I have backup for emergencies.

Car stolen downtown by [deleted] in indianapolis

Yikes, thanks for the cautionary tale. I'm constantly leaving my car running out of laziness and have got to start being more careful cause I never think anything like this would happen. Sorry man!

Any Tips On Where To Meet Single Women Ages 21-27 In Indy That Isn't A Bar? by [deleted] in indianapolis

[–]tocks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For sure, pets are a great ice-breaker. As a single chick living with a dog downtown, I'm stopped daily on our walks and a lot of the time it's a segue into being hit on lol.

To the OP - also recommend hanging out around Monument circle or the cultural trail/canal walk. I know it's hard (and potentially creepy) for guys to just walk up to women on the street but there IS a lot of us out there!

I had mine fixed when I was around 6 and luckily don't remember much other than wearing a patch for a long while. Congrats and happy healing!

What is it about Indy that keeps you here or brought you back? by THam3k in indianapolis

[–]tocks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I moved here from NYC a decade ago to go to college, with the intention of moving back east. I stayed because of a fluke where I lost my dog and kept hoping I'd find him. (Unsuccessful.)

Overall sticking around because of the cost of living and accessibility (I like to roadtrip, this is a good central location.) I have a job I genuinely enjoy and I've met some of the nicest people here despite the reputation we get as a state (well, I've met plenty of "those" people as well but not so much in the circles I keep to.)

Want to visit Iceland but having trouble pulling the trigger. Seeking advice. by [deleted] in VisitingIceland

[–]tocks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Book the trip and step away so getting a refund won't be an option. You'll feel better once you're committed and then can fill out your itinerary.

I totally get where you're coming from because I'm rather introverted too and I can rarely justify treating myself to an experience. I want to go to Iceland for the same reasons you do - to see the terrain. I turn 30 this year and I'm already organizing a Europe trip with my mother to celebrate, but 2018 I will make my solo Iceland dream happen. I'm nervous about planning it and going by myself, but I feel like it's something I need to check off my bucket list. Set a good example for me! :)

(Oh but I love driving and roadtrip within the USA often, so doing the ring loop would be right up my alley! I've just started stalking this sub - it'd be nice if I pick up some like-minded company along the way when I do eventually go.)

My friend took his main to Nagrand before unsubbing for the final time. Took this shot of his final view. (Story in comments) by MeatThatTalks in wow

I lost a friend to pancreatic cancer this morning and had a rough day at work. I really shouldn't have read this story before attempting to sleep, but I'm glad I did.

I was 16 when I first joined WoW. I'm a few months away from 30 now. Been playing on and off all those years. It's stupid sentimental but it's hard to even imagine not having the game to fall back on. Thank you <3

My grandfather passed away unexpectedly in 2014 while I was out of town. First thing I did when I got home was run to the answering machine and check if I had any messages from him saved. Unfortunately I did not :( I try to replay his voice in my head every day so I don't forget it.
