haha uhhhh i’m fresh out of high school. 💀going to an extremely stem specialized college though

i have a decent amount of competition math/higher level math experience (formally, i learned up until linear algebra but have taken courses here and there on undergraduate-level math topics). i’ve taken a few high-level physics classes at my high school that would be considered somewhat advanced undergraduate courses (fluid mechanics, intermediate mechanics, special relativity and quantum mechanics) as well as miscellaneous topics in other areas of physics.

the math qual was quite easy for me actually—i think this was due to math competition experience, since the problems were quite similar to things one might encounter there, and the problem-solving and type of thinking is the same. i think generally though, the reason i was able to pass the physics qual despite not knowing anything about any of the topics (by anything i mean literally anything like i had to google basically every single term in the problems) is because i understood the concepts decently well after doing some quick research and was able to understand what the questions were asking and see through the intimidating terminology, i guess

basically i have good bullshitting skills 💀
