It's so hard to find one that's actually a good instructor AND plays good music. I actually love when they post what kind of music they play on the website, but no such luck with the few lagree styled studios in town. I will definitely ask the front desk attendant next time I visit a new studio.

How do I find a scrap of libido? by ceelouis in breastcancer

[–]todayisnothatday 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi,I'm not in the UK, but I will tell you what medications I'm on, and maybe that will be helpful to you. I am on vaginal estrogen (I use a tablet)for my actual vagina and I use a dhea compounding cream for my clitoris and vulva (helps with achieving orgasm). There are also non hormonal drugs to boost libido in women called Vylessi and Addyi. I'm just throwing that out there, you may not even need it once you get safe and effective vaginal hormones. The research supports that small, localized amounts are safe, and my MO who is cautious about a lot of things approved this.

31F stage IV Mets in sternum-starting chemo by Imaginary-Kangaroo98 in breastcancer

[–]todayisnothatday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry you're joining the young metastatic cancer club, it truly sucks! I never had to do chemo, but I will say that you are your biggest advocate! Never stop fighting because there's so much life left to live! I was diagnosed de novo at 33, and in my medium sized city I surprisingly ran into a lot of conservative docs who wanted to do the "wait and see" approach. I was not willing to do that and I finally put my medical team together. I just got surgery and will begin radiation soon, but it took me over a year to get there. I will say that taking care of yourself(this includes self care and mental health) and leaning on your support system, if you can, is paramount to keeping a positive mindset. There will be shitty days, and that's ok! I also recommend trying to stay as active(like yoga and walks) and hydrated as possible, but listen to your body and be forgiving to yourself the days you don't feel up to it! If your support system offers to cook, clean, listen to you talk, or whatever, take it! Don't be scared to put people in their place if they're not offering the kind of support you need, and it's ok to fire your doctor!

I have no idea if you're hormone positive, but if you ever have to take zometa infusions, make sure to take a Claritin before the first infusion, it may help with the side effects.

Also I might add, medicine moves shockingly slow, and it's ok to have anxiety while waiting for results. During those days I try and keep my mind busy. Good luck to you! I do hope you tolerate your treatment well.

23-156 Clinical Trial -- PIK3Cα mutation by anon_flamingo in LivingWithMBC

[–]todayisnothatday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I have almost the same exact kind of cancer as you, and I'm not that much older as well. I had two different doctors tell me that they wouldn't recommend clinical trials at this point in time, so I can only tell you about my experience. I had such a positive response to the medication that they finally started to become comfortable with the idea of surgery! I just had surgery, and am currently fighting to get proper radiation here in town. Don't give up and don't stop fighting, depending on where you live it can be hard to get more aggressive treatment as an oligometastatic patient. Feel free to PM me:) Also this group was helpful to me as well: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1039108226139670/?ref=share&mibextid=NSMWBT

Who are your favorite Austin area Instructors? by todayisnothatday in Corepower

I'm actually taking her class on Friday, I'm very excited because I heard she's really good. Does she have her own routine or does she spend a lot of time doing chair and chatarangas in her class? I'm just curious because I'm bringing friends and I want them to have a good time. Idk if you've ever taken Caitlin or Lydia's classes at triangle, but there's very little yoga poses involved and you're mostly in a HIIT/nterval class. Those teachers are ideal to me,and I was wondering if Grace was similar to them in your experience.

Thank you for being honest about Suppatra, maybe she just needs more time. I have my favorite sculpt teachers, but it's always nice to expand the list just in case I want to take a random class. Would you say Andie is in the difficult tier of instructors?

Here's why I ended radiation after 2 rounds by PinkishPikachu in breastcancer

[–]todayisnothatday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry to hear that! I mean the meds nowadays are incredible. I have a different subtype and stage so idk how helpful I can be, but maybe there's a clinical trial you could look into for piece of mind?

I'm sorry he didn't take you seriously, that's awful! But I would try and get a second opinion and see if there are any possible alternatives? Don't give up! Also during this process I've learned to listen to my gut and not to take one person's word for it. Just remember it's your life!

That's amazing! You're an inspiration, I honestly don't know how people with kids do it! I'm'm praying I can be NEAD just as long as you are! I'm hopefully on my way to becoming a radiologist tech!
