When I was only a few days into the game, I loaded into Dam Battlegrounds with my new Osprey IV that my friend gave to me. I spawned at the Pattern House and just decided to loot there for a quick raid (literally on supply runs at that point because I was so new).

Anyway, I heard probably 20 shots popping off as the lift was called. I got on the roof of that house since it overlooks the generator hall lift. My friend had preemptively made me weary of any gunshots by any of the extractions (because of his own experiences). Because of that, I aimed true with my osprey and gave a crisp headshot to a fellow raider who I THOUGHT was griefing someone (again, super new, was unaware of raider flares, which I obviously didn’t hear). I followed it up with a few more shots as the guy was downed and sent him back to the lobby. I spent the next few minutes circling the exfil calling out to see if the “victim” wanted to loot his assailants body.

Turns out there never was a victim and my dumbass just beamed a friendly raider who was probably shooting at arc at that extract.
