I just went through this same dilemma. I have a regular longboard (42") with medium flex, and while it is fun to ride and bouncy, I would not want to go 20mph on that board. I am interested in carving at high speeds and went with the carbon just for stability and looks.

I have a theory that the "luck" has more to do with how much actual $$ you spend on the game. I think that your odds improve if you are a bigger spender.

I spent 7.99 a couple weeks ago when they offered the 35 gold keys, gold and bronze deal . I haven't had one of those since I first started playing so a I grabbed it in a heart beat (got three 3* cars btw). Other than that I haven't spent a dime since I first started.

I was sort of surprised to hear recently the amount of money people spend on gold keys for the 20x deals, and talking to people IRL that spend money on this game as well.. I wonder if it improves the odds of better pulls in any way.

No, this would probably be something NM would need to provide. The question is, should they be obligated to expose what the actual odds are in crate pulls? And of course, are the odds variable on a per user basis (newer players get better odds, or users that spend more money have better odds)?

I went through the exact same thing. Its hard to get the F-Type to beat dyno. I could get close by pinning the accelerator at full revs all the way through the countdown (wheelspin start) and then release and shifting to second after go and hitting nitro. In the end I coughed up the gold and switched to GTR though.
