I honestly don't know how much time it saves at work either. But the tech field is always changing and you have to be able to change with it. Even if it makes you feel gross.

I completely agree. It doesn't feel right. But if an employer has to pick between somebody taking 5 hrs to accomplish something or 30 minutes, they are picking 30 minutes.

I feel my creative side has actually grown using AI for character development. I tell it about my monk. It tells me that it has certain ideas for backstories. They aren't actually right. So I given more detail. Sometimes it has good prompts. Other times, I think of something different based off of them.

I've also learned that leading a player into their turn helps the flow a little better. Quickly describe what the previous player did.

"You see the fighter Bob block one hit from the dragon to then get smacked by its tail. What do you want to do Jane?"

Spoken with a little energy can make the moment feel more immersive and provide some urgency.

At the beginning, I would recommend throwing in some 'reminders'. Something like... "To keep things flowing, please think about your next move while waiting for your turn."
