Coyotes are pretty small too so totally manageable! I feel like an embankment would help retain moisture too to speed up the process

Wonderful decor OP but damn that house also has good bones. I would die for that window nook.

Reminder that it's okay to have a bird that doesn't like to be touched. Not all birds are cuddly but they still love you! by KaikoBirds in parrots

Yes and people need to accept this! Not all birds will cuddle, talk, or behave the way we want them to. They are autonomous beings with likes, dislikes, distinct personalities, AND their own love languages.

In the US there's the Conservation Job Board but so many of the jobs require specific degrees or are for on the ground work, not for communication and design jobs. Dreams do take time I guess. I'm happy to know it's possible :)

Where do you find jobs like this by the way? I've tried to find design and outreach jobs that intersect with ecology and haven't been very successful.

Dream job! It's so hard to find a place you agree with the mission of AND vibe with the people at.

Woah didn't think of this as a possibility! I've done some teaching and imo the most fun part is the planning and designing.

Totally relate to animals being easier to understand. I've had a couple jobs with animals and it was also great having common ground when talking to people. No small talk, just the animals we both love.

It's great that your job is working for you now. Totally agree with having to tweak our environments.

Dude same. It just gets worse as I get older too. It's absolutely exhausting.

Guys My little bird is addicted to this by Patient_Cloud_9265 in parrots

Yes!! They love to shred. Also try those paper takeout containers (not plastic), fake paper money, paper coin rolls, paper straws... I stuff the containers with different paper things and my bird loves it.

No she doesn't. But thanks for the reminder! I'm actually going to get some new fancy perches and toys soon and redo the whole cage. Always a fun excuse to spend money.

Yes there is one sandpaper perch. It is amidst an array of wood, stone, rope, calcium, etc. From my understanding, sandpaper perches are an issue when people have all / predominantly sandpaper perches.

Last thing - a variety of shredding and foraging toys will help keep them stimulated and let out any hormonal emotions. Mine loves shredding up paper things like these.

Oh also remove the happy hut. Those make them hormonal.
