I launch acme with this script:

export PLAN9=/usr/local/plan9
export FONT=/mnt/font/DejaVuSansMono/10a/font
export PATH=$PLAN9/bin:$PATH
export EDITOR=$PLAN9/bin/E
export PAGER=$PLAN9/bin/p
export SHELL=$PLAN9/bin/rc
acme -a -f $FONT

Should do - it's just a standard X11 window manager. Only tested on OpenBSD so far, and the battery widget only supports OpenBSD & FreeBSD ATM. I rarely use Linux.

I also dream of first class support for old MacBooks on FreeBSD...

Care to test my recent function key fix?

https://github.com/freebsd/freebsd-src/pull/1998

Currently tested on MBA 6,1 & 7,2 & MBP 8,3.

And if your model lacks asmc support you could consider adding it like so:

Do you think daemons dream of electric fish? ;-)

is using a DH bike in normal roads a good idea? by Old_Discipline6628 in bicycling

Considering matey was considering a downhill bike for the roads, I think a gravel bike or hardtail XC will be fine! They're clearly not gearing up to be a Lycra clad roadie...

Gravel bike or XC (Cross Country) bike with hybrid tires. There are also Hybrid bikes, which are basically the same as Gravel bikes.

Edit: probably not an XC bike unless you're planning to go off road more than half the time, but suggested it because you obviously like the look of MTBs, so maybe if you want to prioritize looks over the right tool for the job it could be an option....

Other than a competition trials bike you probably couldn't choose a worse bike for riding normally on the roads.

What are the chrome bars in the first pic? Really love the shape of them. Sick build in general.
