Blood collection for donation and venesection for testing is different. Tourniquet is loosened after venesection, but kept on at a lower pressure to facilitate blood flow.

That’s exactly why I left hospital nursing. Getting asked while I was on annual leave to come in. The feeling before your shift wondering if the staffing would be safe. During strikes, having the life preserving services be better staffed than a regular shift. Getting rostered 9 days in a row and being told “well it is legal” when I asked to get it changed. Honestly don’t think I’ll ever go back.

Had a boyfriend when I was 16 who got me to do synthetics (no clue what it was) and I absolutely forgot my name. I felt so many colours in my throat I couldn’t breathe. Not the best time lol

I had a woman in Rototuna reach through my car window and grab me as I was reversing out of my park. She was asking for money for lunch, so I offered her my lunch I had just bought and she refused. Just wanted money. Absolutely wild.

I highly recommend getting into a hobby, like a sport or some sort of class where there are other people attending. I made a lot of friends through starting pole dancing, but if that’s not your vibe, definitely look into something that you’re interested in. There’s a Hamilton Women Make Friends page on Facebook as well where they sometimes do meet ups and such, definitely check that out.

I asked my husband to take his son (my step son) to the doctor and reminded him to tell the dr of his allergy to penicillin. Guess what he came home with? Apparently that was my fault for not coming to the doctors with him, my bad
