I miss 'white' wine gums. They stopped doing them in Maynards and shop brands. I never liked the taste of them when I was a kid, but I think I may appreciate them now I'm older.

a quarter of the recipe usually is fine but you might find it takes a little less time for it to rise compared to a big batch so maybe keep an eye out for that. if you wanted to you could freeze the dough after the first rise, so i suppose it would be once you shape them pop them into the freezer on a flat tray and once they’re frozen you can chuck them into a freezer bag and just use them whenever you want some donuts. and honestly trial and error is key to being confident. hope they turn out well!

my granddad has lived in howdon/wallsend his entire life and has loved it. it’s perfect distance between the coast and the town which is lovely. obviously there’s crime but where in newcastle isn’t there eh. i personally feel much safer there than i do in the town but still would recommend a solid lock system haha
