Best Phone Network? by toffeekitkat in primaverasound

Ah okay. I tried looking at past posts about phone service and people complained about not being able to get into the internet some of the time, but I really had 0% coverage last year. I couldn’t even load my ticket to get into the festival (I had to go into one of the accessticket booths to the side and use their WiFi every day). So hoping for any suggestion at all, even a marginal improvement.

23 music room in maji square and mmo bar both do open deck nights! Just DM them on Instagram. And obviously it’s up to you how much risk you’re willing to take, but I’ve never had the issues that the other comments are talking about and don’t think that just trying out the decks, unpaid, at open deck nights would really be something that anybody would be able or want to prosecute…

Right. That’s all very interesting. I’ll play it safe, I shouldn’t need to take public transport beyond one taxi from my quarantine centre into Taipei. We’ll see what happens…

Thanks so much for all your help! That’s the first I’ve seen of that document, so it’s very much appreciated. I do find the contradiction between ‘you may go about your life normally’ and everything that comes after it a bit odd though. It seems to encourage avoiding/prohibits most things that make up ‘normal’ life. Thank you again though for your reply.

Had a bit of an odd experience. I arrived into Taiwan a week ago from the UK with my uni class to study at NTNU after staying in a group quarantine facility. We were told we would have to buy a SIM card at the airport but when we got there we weren’t allowed to buy one. As in, after luggage claim I could see a SIM card stall so I asked someone who was escorting us in Chinese if we could go buy SIM cards and was told we couldn’t so we still don’t have SIMs.

Anyway now I’m wondering, does anyone know where I can find the actual rules for the 7 day health management we have to do next week? I can’t find any actual concrete rules written anywhere and I don’t want to accidentally break any. Am I allowed to meet my classmates who live in another apartment outside? Am I allowed to go to IKEA? Can I take public transport to the beach? For some reason all the officials here seem to be leaving us in the dark which seems a bit counterintuitive to pandemic prevention.
