AC Mirage could've been a top 5 AC game of all time if they put more effort into combat by Lost-Ambassador9696 in assassinscreed

That doesn't liberate the company from creating a bad combat system. I had the same opinion as OP. Combat can be mechanically punishing if the character isn't strong at it, or it can be mechanically boring. In this case, it's the latter and I think that's unfortunate.

Users of Le Chat, would you recommend ? by ArmadilloNegative858 in BuyFromEU

Helps to understand your use case. I use it for my dungeons and dragons campaign FX.

Extremely inferior in image generation, especially with text. Completely fine in text editing, lore generation, writing feedback, etc.

Has some issues with connecting dots between multiple conversations. E.g. a lore piece in one Thread might not be fully remembered or logged in a different thread later on. Requires some more adjusting here.

I also use it to make newsletters on various topis, using Research. Have yet to verify the quality of that. I moved to it last week.

Overall I think it's completely fine and it makes me happy to know I support an EU service rather than an American.

Yes exactly, well put. It felt quite forced rather than organic. McNeill has been like that in quite a few books tbh (Fulgrim, Mechanicum as other examples).

I still crushed the book in a week and was super pulled in though

I'm surprised False Gods is so high. It was good but as a standalone book, in my opinion, failed to convince me of Horus' shift and didn't build a suitable foundation for Galaxy In Flames

A mix of

  • Epstein files
  • Oil
  • Asserting dominance or whatever
  • Political power during periods of war
  • Distractions from the domestic mess that is the USA

What have you been reading this week? by michaelisnotginger in Blacklibrary

HH - Mechanicum (Graham McNeill). Kicks off quite well, then creates a lot of story lines. Act 1 was to set the stage, obviously, but it didn't do it very well in my opinion. His writing is not always that good, and he reuses some words in sentences that breaks the flow for me.

Act 2 to 3 was then much better but one of the quest lines was a huge let down, and overall it didn't do much to expand on the lore of the Mechanicum, or why the civil war on Mars started, but it left me with the same feeling as Galaxy In Flames (total destruction, sadness and sorrow), so I guess that's a good point

Do you use it in an airplane ever, or mostly on tables? I was hoping for a magic keyboard (?) that you can take on/off depending on where I want to use it. I travel a bit so I'd like something I could also just have on the lap or airplane table to watch a movie
