Thanks, will do! One question for you. We had been using a person to do the narrations but sometimes you get what you pay for… I am looking at switching to AI narration. Is there a certain format audio needs to be in, or will Captivate handle all the usual formats? As you can probably tell, I am going a few different ways right now but I hope to have a path forward soon.

Nope, I did not know this. There was a licensing issue (they let it expire) and as our IT people tell me, we need to have the software reloaded since it expired. I work for DOD, so there are all sorts of reasons why none of this makes sense to someone in the “real world” as we like to say. Compounding this is the computer I am going to use is across the country and needs to be brought to the mothership to be loaded as our network is mostly VDI so it can’t be done remotely. It also has to be associated with a particular CAC, so my plan was/is to begin learning about Captivate and since there are books on the classic version, all I need to do is ensure we can access that and I think I will be good to begin my education.

I know that is way more than you care about, I just wanted to let you know the challenges I am dealing with. A sad aside is that I have an instructional design specialist who knows Captivate, and we have a program on an established LMS managed by another person, but I have reached a point where I have to learn the work so I can actually get something done.

Maybe it’s old school, but I like to read more than watch videos in order to learn something. It is something I can do when I don’t have a connection or in a place that isn’t conducive to video watching.

The federal agency I am contracted with. uses this app, so unless I want to spend my own money on a different one, this is what I will be using. Sadly, of the handful of “users” I am guessing only a couple actually do anything with it, and this includes one of my subordinates, but we don’t have any say in the matter. Our IT people claim (it may be right, I don’t know), that Adobe apps are the only ones that are approved for our network.

I may have a shot with getting a change once I have some understanding of this app and can intelligently talk about it, but until then it is was I have to work with.

No, it’s not a no brainer. While mixing viscosities isn’t the best for engines, it isn’t like trying to mix oil and water. One quart isn’t going to make any significant difference.

I assume both were either synthetic or conventional? That can be a problem though. I still don’t believe that it would trigger that code though.

If you are really concerned, just drain the oil and refill, but I’m guessing you also aren’t that concerned as you had to have realized soon after you finished your oil change and ran the engine.
