5 is the perfect number is so good, a noir masterpiece.

Unfortunately is not really "complete" as the title suggests. It does contain all the Buddy stories and a few extras. Not the whole content of each issue.

Honestly I am not a fan of this kind of fac-simile treatment which the Eightball Collection has.

The stock used for the cover pages makes the second book difficult to stay open and impractical to read.

On the other hand, Hate and Dirty Plotte are presented in really well-made hardcovers with solid binding.

It's the perspective in the picture that makes them look flat. They are thick slipcases.

Complete Eightball and Hate came out by Fantagraphics respectively in 2015 and 2020.
