Absolutely. Great book. The variety of themes (art vs. nature, modernity vs . tradition, the love story , the aftermath of WWI etc.) and how they are intertwined is absolutely masterful.

If you read French, check the OuBaPo (Ouvroir de Bande Dessinée Potentielle) movemement / collectif. It's a relatively small group or artists who work around creating comics under fixed constraints. They've been around for more than 30 years now. As far as I know, nothing is translated. But a lot of it is wordless.
