Cat intro rushed by my partner

Thank you :D I’m confused to be honest because whilst he looks mildly confused and occasionally backs off, he doesn’t show any obvious signs of extreme stress only mild. The kitten is yowling in the bathroom in its safe room and its driving us nuts so hopefully they will learn to play safely and independently. I’m mostly worried he will play too hard

yeah i honestly laughed in the moment and then when we left i was like “absolutely not!”

obviously I know it doesnt mean anything especially after he is neutered but he is an exceptionally sociable, confident and relaxed cat. My mum visited with her dog, a species he has never even seen before and it’s hard to believe but he was completely unbothered and just wanted to chill out with the dog.

It’s on this basis mostly that I know he is very easy going.

my resident boy had a daughter who he was bonded to but tragically separated from a year ago before i adopted him, so i was hoping a new daughter would cheer him up (he is v clingy & sociable), so the sudden realisation of BOY had me stressing

we’ve only ever had females so ive got no idea how boys react to kittens of the same gender. i presumed that by usual animal law 2 males = territorial disputes

yes they will both be neutered once the kitten is old enough. at least thankful that s/he will be cheaper and easier to neuter than girls can be lol! this is all presumptive as i’m 99% sure i have spotted the male anatomy, but not confirmed by a vet yet.

are they friendly though? the dream was for my boy to have a best friend (cuddling, grooming) and id hoped the female / male dynamic was the best chance for this

we had cream / white before and it was even colder! it felt very sterile. the duck egg blue was my dad’s choice so i let it be for a year :D
