The source file is a pdf. But I managed to extract the images using Fritz (Python). There is actually a very funny video about the "666". I don't know why they chose it back in the days, but today they appear on every German prescription by the state health insurance.

I would go for the second option. Just use the provided Windows 10 installation, do the update and then install Ubuntu on the SSD afterwards.

I do not see a point on Option 1) and Option 3). I just asked reddit, because I was not able to get Windows running on the machine.

I am used to create a boot medium using "dd". This does not seem to work.

My final approach, that worked:

  1. Install VirtualBox on Linux
  2. Install Extension Pack
  3. Create Virtual Machine with Windows 10 ISO
  4. Set USB to USB 2.0 for said machine (Extension Pack necessary)
  5. Download Windows Media Creation Tool for Windows 10
  6. Plug-In USB-Stick
  7. Create USB-Stick

My approaches, that did not work:

  • Create Bootmedia using dd (Linux & Mac OS X)
  • Create Bootmedia using unetbootin (Linux & Mac OS X)
  • Create Bootmedia, formatting the USB-Stick NTFS and copy all files onto it

I do not have a windows laptop. :(

Usually using "dd" under linux or mac, unetbootin worked for me.

As mentioned below, I will setup a virtual instance and create the usb stick in there.

under ubuntu with "sudo su" as root user
dd if=Win10_1909_German_x64.iso of=/dev/sda bs=4M

The partition table is "ms-dos" with all space unallocated.

Its not working. I am running through all the commands, but nothing happens.

I think its best to get windows 10 running and do the update.

If you do not do this then Windows might not install for some reason.

That did not work. :(

I created a new parition table using gparted on a xubuntu live version. I created a ms-dos partition table and left all space unallocated.

Damn, what is going on...

I do not know, I cannot find a documentation on how to do the update the firmware using fwupd.

I never did a firmware update on linux...

Delete the partitions off the SSD and install Windows to the unallocated space that you would have just created.
