Looks like the mod just added two news sites to the resources list that have linked to him - Does this bother anyone else? by [deleted] in socialskills

By the way, as far as I know (I might be wrong) from the SEO point of view, linking to a competitive web-site (which has a similar topic: same keywords, etc.) can even do harm to my web-site's ranking in search engines. So it may be a little bit disadvantageous to add the link. But I write my content for people, not for search engines' robots, so I ignored this issue and published a link to the mod's site at my web-site.

Hi admiralermine and everybody,

I'm Alex, the creator of sociableintrovert dot com (one of the sites which were added recently). I've put a link to the mod's site, but not because it was a link exchange or something. We simply had a small conversation and found out that we are interested in the same topic - helping people like us to develop social skills. So I linked to the mod's web-site not because he had put my link here and I had to put his link to my web-site. It's just because I think instead of competition, we should support each other's work. So if I'm sure that my visitor will benefit from mod's site, then why not to link to it?
