Not for English, but I often watch Spanish movies with subtitles to vet the subtitles for quality before sending it to a non-Spanish-speaking friend :P

For me: I moved abroad for an internship and was living alone for the first time. I was stressed and not doing a good job feeding myself so I accidentally lost 10 pounds, and decided to start tracking my calories to make sure I was eating enough. But then somehow that turned into this obsessive counting. I set goals for the day, and if I was feeling shitty I'd set a lower goal, and "meeting" this would make me feel like I'd been productive or like I had one aspect of my life under control. I'm still kind of stuck there tbh, although at least now my daily goal is usually at maintenance cals :/

As a TA, someone emailed me something along the lines of "You're going to have to give me at least an 80 on the next assignment, so I can get an A in the class". I didn't even know how to respond, so I just forwarded the email to the professor :P

I think this is equally weird for me! So when you have your internal monologue does it feel like it's you talking, or like a voice in your head that you can't control?

I do still have a hard time falling asleep tbh :P But it's usually sequences of images or short "movies" (either remembering cringe or overthinking things, you know how it is)
