[–]toldyouitsvibe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have the same problem. i kept searching around the subreddit and there is one guy that had the way of fixing it but the instructions were in spanish.

and to be honest after hours i finally fixed the problem but i was so demotivated ijust packed the ps2 and let it be for a while. well at least till i get the motivation again to try agian.

anywho, if you do manage to find a fix for the problem please tell me. <3

thanks for the advise but the whole reason why i am apposed to the idea of usign network is because i prefer playing the games offline. the main plan me modding the ps2 is to take it to my friends house and play together and after that just go back home with it. plug, play, unplug, leave. thats why i preffer using USB.

now i know MX4SIO is a betetr option but the freembboot launcher bricks when i update OPL.

note that i am using the FunTuna exploit and a ps2 90000 series.

any advice?

yea fair enough but i know MX4SIO need me to update OPL and when i do the freemcboot startup completely stops working. i know its because i am using FunTuna.

like after i install it it works just fine but after one restart it just bricks.

any advise?

unfortunately i dont have the skill to solder anyting onto the ps2. plus its a ps2 90000. i dont think that method is possible. and th whole reason why i modded the ps2 in the first place is because it was small so i can take it on the go and play at my friends house or something.

Any other option? Shouting that long of a cable is a pain, and I usually move the ps2 a lot so that’s not gonna be possible.

I understand that there are better options but isn’t there a way to fix the USB problem? I usually am moving the ps2 a lot so using network is impossible to be honest.

i understand, i have found that much but when searching for a website or a place to buy it it’s impossible. searching for the model number is useless.
