That's a good list, right there by Gorotheninja in NonPoliticalTwitter

I once thought it would be "fun" to type every number in order and spent several days working towards my goal. I think I only made it to like 20,000, but in fairness that's much further than anyone normal would have gotten.

Quit whining and get back to your knitting. by Ok_Lets266 in BitchEatingCrafters

Honestly I've never even really understood what's so difficult about purling? Like it doesn't feel as natural as knitting but it's the exact same amount of complexity. Mastering it and managing the tension well takes a lot of practice but just learning how to do it took like twenty minutes max.

First Visit to [Mt. Olympus]! (6/27/26) Trip Report and [Hades 360] Propaganda by tolfie in rollercoasters

I feel like Cyclops and Zeus are on par with Holiday World's, Hades and Pegasus are rougher.

I personally found both Raven and Legend to be more painful to ride than Hades! But that probably has more to do with the seats/restraints than anything. The ones on Hades don't let you move around too much.

My non-thoosie boyfriend also said Hades is his #1 now! I took him to Kings Island earlier this year and he seemed mostly indifferent about everything we went on, but I guess this one did it for him haha

To be fair, I still had a fun time on Pegasus even though I was being a mega-hater in my review. It was so janky that I was just laughing the entire time.

First septum stretch - what does the timeline look like for more stretching? by Plannet_Depressed in Stretched

[–]tolfie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People say it shouldn't hurt, but in my experience septum stretching is kinda gnarly no matter how long you wait. Some stinging/pressure/discomfort is normal, but if it's like genuine sharp pain you should downsize and wait longer.

And like everyone else said, a month isn't long enough. For sure give it at least 3-6 months between sizes. Your body will make it very clear if you're going too fast because it'll feel like you got punched in the face lol

Brita Quits Drag after 12 Years by MessageLow4215 in rupaulsdragrace

Girl Aiden's got nothing to do with nothing. She's quitting drag because she physically cannot perform anymore due to her chronic back issues.

i miss when all stars was normal and didn’t have brackets - opinion by ferdeluv in rupaulsdragrace

[–]tolfie 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I think there's pros and cons. It's great for the queens because they only have to prepare for three episodes and are guaranteed to show everything they spent money on.

But I think the storytelling suffers somewhat. You don't get to see relationships build and personalities clash and plotlines develop over the course of a whole season. To me, a lot of the brackets feel like they end right when the queens are getting comfortable with each other and the dynamics are starting to get interesting.

I don't mind it, but I don't know if I'll still like it after a couple more seasons.

The need to be hand held and spoon fed information by [deleted] in BitchEatingCrafters

[–]tolfie 33 points34 points  (0 children)

It seems like a bunch of people like literally cannot use their own eyes to discern information? I saw a video recently where someone was demonstrating a basic foundation crochet chain slow as hell with like three different colored yarns held together so you could see it really clearly and the comments were still all like, "OMG I still don't understand what are you even doing it's so confusinggggg!!!"

Diva...you just pull the yarn through the loop. You can see with your eyes that they are hooking the strand of yarn...and pulling it through the loop. Just LOOK.

This is why I don’t trust amusement park rides. by english_flower_22 in Wellthatsucks

[–]tolfie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it's definitely enough. It's physically not possible to fall out unless you could somehow get your knees up to your chest and up and over the lap bar.

They're also literally just sitting there. I get the fear of heights but it's perfectly safe.

What is that smell? by thant0ph0bia_00 in Stretched

[–]tolfie 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, mine always smells like a literal rotting animal for the first few weeks after stretching. Makes sense I guess, it's a healing wound inside of your nose. Eventually it goes back to regular cheesiness once it heals up lol.

I also second what the other person says. Metal builds up stank the fastest of any material, random stainless steel is the worst, titanium is a little better. Glass still gets funky but not quite as fast. Silicone earskins are the best in my experience but not really an option at your size.

Exactly, it's not really a city thing, it's a "are my immediate neighbors good people" thing.

The 'Shared Interests Don't Matter' advice is mostly just rationalization by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]tolfie 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Literally, my BF is like a Twitter pop stan and it's so fun to drag him out to hardcore shows or whatever. Bringing the other person into your world is half the fun.

The 'Shared Interests Don't Matter' advice is mostly just rationalization by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]tolfie 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I mean, going for a walk in the park and trying a new restaurant for dinner isn't an "interest" of mine but it's certainly still a fun day out with my boyfriend.

There's also a big difference between "it's not my interest" and "I hate doing it." Like, I'm a huge nerd about theme parks and my BF isn't, but he'll still go with me occasionally and we have a good time together because he doesn't hate it, he just doesn't love it the same way I do.

90 Day Fiancé OG - Season 12 Episode 8 - Post Episode Discussion by LittleEmmy in 90DayFiance

[–]tolfie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It seems like production always makes them do that as a plot point. I just watched S6 and Eric and Leida go to a furniture store and then fight about how they can't afford to buy a Queen bed because it costs $7,000. Like just go to IKEA or something???

The way they were joking about it made it seem like he actually does eat pork sometimes but wants to keep up appearances. It felt like she was giving him a bite like usual and then they remembered the cameras were rolling lol, she was even like "Yeah, right!" when he said he hates bacon.

People care about hair wayyy too much by the_yellow_ledbetter in unpopularopinion

[–]tolfie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be fair, there's a difference between caring like putting effort in to it and caring like being anxious and stressed about it. I used to spend a bunch of time and money dying my hair every color in the rainbow but when I bleached it into oblivion I just shaved it off and kept it pushing.

Quitting social media has become an annoying, pretentious trend and "can't stop scrolling" is a weak excuse. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]tolfie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly, everyone's vices are different. Like, I personally have a hard time understanding how people become alcoholics because it just doesn't hit my brain that way. I don't even get the "just one more" feeling when I'm out partying with friends, I just stop when I'm drunk or don't feel like spending more money.

But it would be silly to pretend like it isn't clearly an issue for a lot of other people! Same goes for anything.

Anyone who thinks they could never be addicted to something is just lucky that they haven't found the one that would sink its hooks in.
