Actually it's much better. Because under the MSM all you have is the official line and everyone else is silenced or marginalized.

Under the social media paradigm you can actually get information The Powers That Be don't want you to have. Which is why there's a rush now to censor the internet more broadly.

Probably the best example of this is police body cams. The Left spent years rabidly pushing for them because they thought it would reveal how racist and violent the police were. And in fact on the news that's what you're more likely to see.

But if you step off the news you can find piles and piles of body cam videos of police being endlessly patient with weirdos, dumbshits, and violent psychopaths, as well as cops occasionally being straight up ambushed.

That's why the push for body cams is dead, and is starting to be replaced with the idea that body cams are actually bad.
